First book down! Just finished We Have Always Lived in the Castle by by Shirley Jackson. A short book but deliciously creepy all the way through. Perfect for Halloween!

Finished up How to Be a Good Creature: A Memoir in Thirteen Animals. I only had 30 minutes left when the readathon started.

Just finished Venus In The Blind Spot by Junji Ito. I really enjoyed it. A creepy collection of manga short stories, perfect for this season.

Started and finished “The Handmaid and the Carpenter” by Elizabeth Berg. Loved it. It completes the retelling requirement for BINGO also.

I LOVE her books! She is so not my normal type of read but I love them. I do the audios and she narrates them all. Makes it even better because then she can do their voices the way she hears them in her mind while writing. That makes it so much better.

I've only finished one so far - Shakespeare Wrote for Money - but I seem to be doing this Readathon buffet-style, so I'm on my 4th book of the day.

I just finished my second book. All Her Colors by David Quantick.

Finished the last 3.5 hours of "Go Tell It On The Mountain" on audiobook.

Read "The Joy of a Peanuts Christmas: 50 Years of Holiday Comics" Loved it and normally wouldn't have taken the time to read it, except that we were encouraged to read FOR FUN, and "comics" was a BINGO square.

I was blessed today by an adult daughter who came over with her saxophone, and between that and a flute, piano and viola, the 2 of us "read" music for about 3 hours! It wasn't a lot of words, but it was reading notes! I don't know if that counts or not, but I wouldn't trade that time for anything. :)
