Alice Yay! I can't wait! Like you said in the previous thread, I can not believe we have been doing this since 2018 and there are still loads more R.L Stine Fear Street (let alone his point horror and Goosebumps.) But even though there are so much more of his to get through, I really like the idea of branching out. I will give you my picks as soon as I go through my shelves.

Feb: Dream Date Dream Date by Sinclair Smith

June: The Midnight Club The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike

Oct: Trick or Treat Trick or Treat by Richie Tankersley Cusick

Let me know if these are okay with everybody. I looked and I don't think any of these are too hard to find. *fingers crossed*

I can change Let's Party. It was just one I grabbed off my shelf. I'm not dead set on that being "the one"

message 10: by Alice (new)

Alice What about The Midnight Club? Christopher Pike. It is under $5 used on Amazon or under $10 new.

Sorry, I guess I assumed all R.L Stine would be easy to find, but I guess his Seniors Fear Street books are rarer. (I have a bunch from my childhood.)

message 11: by Jen (new)

Jen I'm thinking of these three but let me know what you guys think-I'm totally fine with changing any of them:

Party Line by A. Bates
Final Exam by A. Bates
Slumber Party by Christopher Pike

list has been updated.

message 15: by Alice (new)

Alice I'm fine with those books Jen, but I might skip Slumber Party because I read it in 2019 and the plot is still fresh in my mind. The other ones I have not read and welcome any excuse to buy more cheesy teen horror!

Thanks Latasha!

message 16: by Melanie (last edited Oct 24, 2020 02:41PM) (new)

Melanie | 1656 comments Yay, so excited for this already. I have quite a lot of Point Horror so if these are hard to find in the U.S. let me know and I can change them
March - The Body by Carol Ellis
July - Hit and Run by R.L. Stine
The Ripper by D.E. Athkins I have a spare copy of this one and happy to post it O.S. It was also known as The Cemetery (Point Horror) by D.E. Athkins but it's the same book.

I have January, April, May and October, I haven't found the other ones yet.

What you got in mind for December Tosh?

Elysa (ebees) | 35 comments Man I wish I saved all my old R. L. Stine books. They were some of my absolute favorites growing up. I think it's time to regrow my collection though. And get a copy of Party Line as well!

Let the reading begin! Happy New Year everyone! January’s book is Party Line. The way these work is just read it sometime in the month. You don’t have to wait on anyone, just whenever you want to read- go! Please use spoiler tags. I know these books are older but Some of us (me included) has never read these. Have fun and happy reading!

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 2262 comments I want to do this so bad as I love old school but I don’t know about finding any of these books. I do have some regular old school horror so maybe I’ll do my own private thing. Well not private. 🤨

message 48: by Jenna (new)

Jenna | 7 comments Melissa I found my copy of party line right on Amazon! Cheap too!

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 2262 comments I found a bunch of them on thrift books and some on Amazon and some bit at all. I haven’t checked eBay yet. But with my stupid budget, they are adding up to over $20 😫. I told Tosh I might just get the ones I really want to read for myself. 😕.

message 50: by Jen (new)

Jen Happy New Year everyone! I'm really excited about this challenge this year. Looking forward to reading along with everyone!
