Julia Bell (juliabellromanticfiction) | 53 comments I'm so pleased my historical romance Songbird: (The Songbird Story - Book One) was a Readers' Favourite Finalist Winner 2020. There were only five winners in the historical romance category so I'm honoured to be one of them.

They gave me a wonderful five-star review and said they particularly liked the opening line;
"I was twenty-one years old when I sold my baby."

But don't worry, Songbird does have a happy ever after ending.

Thank you, Debbie. It's actually its second award as it won a Chill Book Premier Reader's Award in 2019.
The silly thing is that although I was chuffed with the five-star review I didn't know I'd won an award with Readers' Favourite until I went back a few weeks later to read the review again and noticed 'award winner' at the bottom of the front cover. I had to click through a few pages to find it. That's the trouble when you're a terrible techno-numpty.
