RUN discussion

A dilapidated bridge near the woods.
Underneath the rickety structure, is tent city.
Home to some of the lowest hierarchy members.

Lianna rolls up her sleeping bag, stuffs it into the corner of her tent, then heads up to the bridge, wondering what she'll eat today.
She looks down at her wrinkled sweater and sighs.
She's been wearing it for a whole week now.

Skylar was walking around, dusty from the buildings. She looked tired. She saw Noah and froze. Skylar ran to hide,

Lianna squints her eyes and watches as a small girl, takes off running.
Lianna racks her brain, wondering if she has seen her before.
She can't recall.

Skylar panicks. She peeked out and sighed. The boy didn’t look harmful...she was looking at the other girl. She didn’t look harmful, either.

"Are you alright!" Lilly calls, as the young girl peeks her head out and peers at her.
The girl is pale and Lilly fears, she may be ill.

Lilly just stares at the boy, wondering why he is so on edge.
She shrugs, then makes eye contact.
She figures he is about three years younger than her. "I'm not afraid of you. I'm just wary of strangers, that's all."

Lilly shrugs, then runs a hand through her unkempt hair.
"Beats me. She ran away from me too, remember? Besides, I didn't see her with a grown up. She's probably alone and scared out of her mind."

Lillian raises a confused eyebrow, as she watches the boy run away, down the bridge. "Are you okay dude?" she calls after him, contemplating whether she should run after him.

Lilly makes a face, wondering why this guy is so uptight.
"I just wanted to make sure you were alright!" she more or less snaps, wanting to tell him, he's not the only one going through something.

Lilly nods, slowly, no more interested in striking up a conversation, than he is. "Whatever. See you around," she says, before turning around to find Carter, who sleeps in the tent next to hers.

Lilly sighs, as she makes the long trek across the old bridge.She reaches into her pocket, as she walks, feeling around for the money in her jeans.
She can feel about four quarters and two dimes.
Enough for a meal at the buffet.

Skylar was scared and hadn’t had food in a while, so she stepped out and looked around once the girl left. She seemed to care about me? Skylar was confused but happy. She started to walk onto the bridge.

Jade walked along the rickety bridge, hood pulled up over her head. She didn't live here. Well, she didn't live anywhere, preferring to move around constantly. The female barely glanced at the few other Fours as she walked. She had her own problems.

Kevin parks the car atop the rickety bridge, hoping that his anxiety is not evident, as Lilly opens her door and hops out of the car.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Kevin asks, looking over at her.
Lily quickly shakes her head and holds her knife up.
"I'll be back in 10 minutes," she sighs.
Before Kevin can say anything else, Lilly has already disappeared underneath the bridge.
Kevin sighs and leans his head against his seat, regretting all the times he complained about his life.

(Do we want to follow Lilly or stay in the car? Or timeskip until she gets back? Lol)

Raylee watches her leave, “I hope they all didn’t get bitten or died already”

Kevin gives her an odd look, then lays back in his seat.
"Boy aren't you a ray of sunshine," he jokes, smirking.

((No prob! It just started!))

Raylee smiles and rolls her eyes, “Im honestly surprised I’m not dead.”. Raylee looks outside to check for zombies then back at Kevin, “So whats your story?”

Kevin shrugs, still peering out the window.
"Nothing special. Pretty average kid. Grew up skating and playing soccer…Spending weekends on my grandparents' farm."
Kevin sucked in a painful breath, then mumbled, " like I said pretty average guy…Til this. How bout you? What were you doing before all this happened?"

Raylee sighed, hoping he couldn’t tell she was panicking because no one has ever asked her that before, “yeah....Pretty normal too....except for the brother running away while having no reason to and not telling me”

Kevin slowly turned to look at Raylee, taken aback by the calmness in her tone. "Did you say your brother ran away?" he inquired, his eyebrow raised in confusion.

Raylee looked down at her hands, “yeah”

Kevin pursed his lips, wondering if he should press the subject further. He was a very curious guy by nature and knew that it would nag him, if he didn't get at least some resolve.
"So…You have no idea where he is?"

Raylee bites her lip and tries not to act too upset by anything related to her brother. “Nope. He’s been gone two years and my parents didn’t really care. That’s why I’m here. I’ve been searching the past year and a half, almost two years for him and still nothing.” raylee says pinching herself.

Kevin sighs, desperately searching for words to make her feel better.
But his mind draws a blank.
Well, not really. He wants to shout out 'what type of parents don't give a crap that their son ran away?' but he doubts that that will offer Raylee much comfort.
So he just wrings his hands together and patheticly says, "sorry. That sucks."

Raylee snorts then half smiles, “wow thanks. You are such a great conversationalist”

Kevin laughs awkwardly. "Sorry but I really had nothing astounding to say. But-"
He stops talking, when he spots Lilly and two other people coming up the bridge, carrying dingy old sleeping bags.
Kevin frowns, realizing how emaciated they all look.
He pops the trunk, as they reach the car.

Raylee sees them coming and murmurs, “hm they actually came.”. Once they get in the car Raylee asks, “how’d it go?”

Lilly rubs a hand over her face, as Carter and Mrs. Amos hop in beside her.
"The others didn't want to come...There were six dead zombies in a pile when I got down there. They could barely kill those! What's gonna happen if there's a herd or something?" she cries.
Kevin sighs. "Y-you tried Lilly, that's all you can do."

Raylee looks at Kevin then back at Lilly and sighs. “yeah...and hey at least you got some” raylee tries to think of something that could actually make her feel better even though she knows nothing will.

Lilly just shakes her head, as Kevin rolls away from the bridge.
He knows that the chances of Lilly's friends surviving in the open are little to none and the anxiety to get back to the farm is growing within him.

Raylee looks at Kevin. “You okay?” She asks. “I can drive if you need me to”

Kevin shakes his head a little, then says,"I'm fine. It shouldn't take long for us to get there."
He pulls away from the bridge and turns the car back to the main road.

"Back to my grandparents' farm," Kevin replies, looking at Carter through the rear view mirror.

((So when should I yeet Jade in here))

((Where does she live?))

((In the tent city underneath the bridge))

((She's currently coming back from the library and hasn't encountered any zombies yet.))

((Jade could change her mind and go with them now? She'll have to hurry though, the car's almost gone.))

Jade was walking back towards the bridge, just along the side of the main road. She passed the car, barely glancing at it. She recognized one of the girls inside from the tent city. Strange... She shrugged and rolled her eyes, turning her gaze back to the bridge, but noticed a figure standing in her way. It had gray skin and almost looked like it was... rotting? Jade pulled her knife out of her backpack, watching the thing warily and slowly backing away, before it noticed her. It started running forward towards her, and her eyes widened before she turned and started running away. Whatever this thing was, it was fast, and it kept a decent pace a few feet behind her. She cursed and kept running. Following the car seemed safe enough. Maybe whoever was inside would notice and help her out?

fleck emerged from a side alley, feeling uncomfortably exposed with her stolen purse filled with money. she wasn’t as strong as most of the people here even if she had lived on the streets for as long as she could remember. but she had to cut through this bridge to get to her real home - the badger set.

she heard a curse and saw a girl running, pursued by a zombie. vaguely wondering why she was seeing so many all of a sudden - she’d fought a horde of them at the hospital - she watched it run at the girl. ahead of them was a car. melting back into the dark, she decided to watch and wait. but whether it was fate or bad luck, her foot struck a bucket and made a loud noise, alerting the zombie.

Lilly sat up straight in her seat as she recognized Jade running along the main road.
One of the zombies was pursuing her. Even though her interactions with the girl weren't always pleasant, Lilly knew she couldn't just sit there and let her get eaten alive.
"Stop the car!' she shouted, pulling her seatbelt off.
The car jerked forward as it suddenly stopped.
"What?" Kevin gasped, looking back at Lilly, as if she had grown a horn.
Lilly ignored him and jumped out of the car and over to Jade.
"Get in the car," she said, pulling out her knife and bolting over to the zombie.

fleck pulled a knife too, turning the bucket upside down and hiding the purse and a few stolen wallets under it. she strode out onto the bridge and kicked the zombie full in the ribs. it doubled over and she hacked at its chest, cursing as the wounds healed over.

The car stopped suddenly, and the girl jumped out. Jade was a little relieved, honestly, but she didn't show it much. She nodded and darted into the car, sitting down in the backseat.
