A mention of Belasco House, I didn't really like Hellhouse but I do enjoy it when authors give a little nod to other authors they obviously admire.

I like that too. I like the back story we get. Does yours have the art in it? Im gonna try to get some reading done but I’m already so sleepy I feel sick.

Stopping at 52% for the night. I'm enjoying the build up. more detailed history of the lighthouse.

Happy Halloween or Beltane to you Melanie. i finished this morning since the cat woke me up early. i liked this story, it's fast and scary. It's a little vague but that's ok, i liked it. I liked the art that was through out the book. Hope your ok and can't wait to hear what you think about it.

And a happy Samhain to you! We had our first ever Halloween party last night, hence my absence the last few days. It was so fun, there was the usual madness, kids running everywhere, waaaaay too much food and one over-imbibing drinker with his head in a toilet bowl. But I woke up with my face still aching from laughing so much the night before. Hope you're having a great day and you get some Trick or Treaters, will let you know what I think of the story soon :)

I'm done! Sorry I haven't been back, spent the last day and a half in the hospital with my youngest with suspected appendicitis, fortunately it wasn't that and we're home now.

Anyway, I liked it but I thought (view spoiler)[ there were a few too many potential reasons given for the haunting, and just not quite enough explanation, or clues as to what was going on. I'm fine with slightly ambiguous endings but I thought there were just too many options. I'm not sure why the Cthulhu easter egg was there, because it never went anywhere, and it seemed they couldn't quite decide if it was a traditional haunting, a malevolent ancient evil, or cosmic horror. (hide spoiler)] I'll be giving it 3 stars.

Ooooh, and thank you so much for my Halloween card, it arrived a couple of days ago and I love it :)

i'm glad your son is ok and your back home. yeah, i can see that- about your spoiler. i didn't think of all of that.
