Melanie | 1911 comments Heading into the home stretch of this very strange year...

What will you be reading this month?

Do you have books/ challenges you need to finish before the year ends?

DivaDiane SM | 290 comments Oh my. I have way too many books and challenges that I wanted to read and do this year and I seem to have failed utterly. I have read a respectable number of books this year but since June many of them are novella's, middle grade/YA, poetry or children's books. I haven't had the wherewithal to tackle many longer adult novels.

At the moment, I'm reading A Wrinkle in Time to my 11 year old. I'm not sure what we'll read next. We'll finish this one this week, probably.

Otherwise, I'm not reading anything YA/MA.

Melanie | 1911 comments For those who are newer to the group:
MG- middle grade books
YA- young adult books
MA- mature (you know the "grown up" stuff)

Although the club features YA books in the challenges and BOTM, we love all the books!

Melanie | 1911 comments I've read a diverse set of books so far this month:
Skyward which is our group read, so I posted my thoughts in those threads. 3.5 stars

Lovecraft Country finally came off hold with the library. Even though I knew what the book was about I still found myself disturbed by it. Probably because it was the real-life racism that was scarier than the Chutulu horror elements. 4 stars

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon is probably an MG book. I delightful episodic romp through a world of Chinese folklore. 4.5 stars

Hounded a sexy urban fantasy centered around Celtic magic. 3.5 stars

No bad reads so far this month which is a win!
