Ann (annrumsey) | 16944 comments Nice month Dan! I read Peter Heller's The Dog Stars in 2012 (and enjoyed it) I imagine the impact is a bit (!) different reading it in 2020. For those who haven't read it yet, a deadly flu pandemic is involved. The rest look like stellar choices too.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Shomeret, using the boycotted olympics in The Soviet Union for the background worked well, and the usual cast of characters was entertaining. While the actual rat catching was a small part of the book, it fit well with the political cooperation/competition theme.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Ann, since the book only dealt with the aftermath rather than the actual pandemic, it was more of a background than a theme. Hopefully our current situation won’t turn out the same way.
