Well I do not know what I was expecting. I guess I was expecting something........different. Not literally the repeat of the first book. Literally was almost the exact same. Minus less stalking more.......killing and planning on killing.
It is one book where I am happy the main character had something coming. Joe deserves going to Jail. On being caught by the Los Angeles police. I am Happy that Amy did not get murdered by him and that he let her live. Willingly let her live. I am also happy that Forty turned the game on Joe and pretty much cornered him.....until he got hit by a car when he was jaywalking.
I am kind of sad that it moved away from New York City but its only because I personally am in love with that city. I am also glad it moved from NYC to LA because it was a little change. But Joe going soft? Come on that is a joke right? That Love's love changed him to be the good guy. Oh please I don't buy that one bit. Not one bit.
I found it kind of mediocre that Joe finds Love and falls in love with Love. Lame. And her twin is named Forty? What names are those? I got the impression that it was going to filthy rich folk who don't dwell with commoners and are bit more....arrogant and stuck up. Not the other way around. In a way I guess they were a bit stuck up but I expected over the top with those names and it was not delivered. And when Joe tells Love of all the women he killed......AND SHE STAYED. IS SHE FREAKING NUTS?!?!?!?! I guess she deserves him but I would have ran and gave him up immediately. Not help him retrieve evidence of the murder he committed. Idiot. And kind of.....not creative.
To be honest I found the story lagging and dragging. It did not need to be 440 pages long. It only was getting real interesting near the very end, when the story finally started. To bad. I hope the 3rd is better but my hopes won't be very high.
Only reason its 4 stars is because it was a little more than 3 with some key spots that were hit. Otherwise if it stayed exactly how You was which zi truly loved, I doubt it would have made it really to a 3.
