Miffy starts with 10 HP and 10 attack and gains 2 of each for each level she gets. That will be her max HP just like for heroes.

Zuzana | 2568 comments And another question, this time about a stake:

Does it work like a regular weapon (you have to hit with the stake instead of the sword or magic staff) ? Or does it work like a slingshot or an arrow (alongside your regular weapon, anytime during your round) ?

I'm confused about this. Does this mean if he attacks me and now I have 10 hp, He heals by 10 hp? What about when he attacks Miffy (and if she dies he gets 0 hp?)

Also does this occur BEFORE Lady Ysmay heals?
(Hero attacks EX (19) ==> EX 131 HP
Miffy attacks EX (12) ==> EX 119 HP
EX attacks hero (18) ==> Hero 13 HP
EX takes 13 HP ==> EX 131 HP
Lady Ysmay heals hero (+5) ==> Hero 18 HP)

And if Miffy dies, can we leave her and resurrect her AFTER the battle, or does it need to be right away"?

message 8506: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2568 comments Rebecca, I interpret it this way.

I attack the vampire
Miffy attacks the vampire
Vampire attacks me with AP: 20-2 (shield, Rocky)=18
=> I lose 18 HP, the vampire gains 18 HP.

What I lose, the vampire gains.

When the vampire attacks you, he'll pull hp from you and heal himself. (So vampire hits for 20, you take 20 damage, he heals 20 damage. Vampire hits Miffy for 20, Miffy takes 20 damage, he heals 20 damage. He can only steal what he hits for, so shield would reduce both values.)

He steals HP from Miffy too when it's her turn to be attacked.

You can resurrect Miffy after the battle but she doesn't get XP then for that fight.

I think I figured it out correctly with Pumpkinhead and Troll, but I was wondering... would anyone be so kind to check the math for me regarding Miffy's Ex? I'm putting the hypothetical battle under spoiler.

Thanks so much in advance!!

Kelly, does it mean that I can "give" Miffy any available potion to use during battles (to enhance her own abilities)?

heal potions (I would think that's clearly a yes)
but what about damage, weapon enhance & growing strength potions?

It would be quite costly, buying all those extra potions, but it could be really handy while battling some advanced badass Halloween monsters.

Yes, you can use potions on Miffy. She just uses up her own potions so one shield potion wouldn't work on both of you, you'd have to use 2.

I have this question too! I just did the total attack with everything For now I have it this way:

Round 1: 23 attack
Round 2: 23+1 (growth) / 2 = 12 attack
Round 3: 12 + 1 (growth) / 2 = 7 attack (rounded up)
Round 4: 7+1 (growth) / 2 = 4 attack
ETC

message 8539: by Zuzana (last edited Oct 16, 2017 09:19AM) (new)

Zuzana | 2568 comments Rebecca, I think you have to halve all the attacks, the first one, too.

Quote:
"The Will-o'-the-wisp will zap the strength of the Hero and Miffy every turn cutting their attack power in half."

Zuzana, the example has hero & Miffy attacking full strength for round 1 - that bit was clear - and a relief, frankly!

"Example: Round 1, Hero attacks full power, Miffy attacks full power, Will-o'-the-wisp halves attack, Will-o'-the-wisp attacks, Round 2, Hero attacks half power ..."

message 8541: by Zuzana (last edited Oct 16, 2017 09:52AM) (new)

Zuzana | 2568 comments O.K. I guess I don't get the wording:

"Round 1,
Hero attacks full power,
Miffy attacks full power,
Will-o'-the-wisp halves attack,
Will-o'-the-wisp attacks

Round 2, ..."

Please, explain to me, why the bold part is there in the round 1. I don't get it. I think it might have been lost in translation.

Or does it mean that it counts for the next round? Then Why it's not at the end of the round, it would make more sense - the monster hits you & as a result your attack is halved next round.

Sorry for being so dense. :D

P.S. If you're right, I would suggest to change the wording to:
"The Will-o'-the-wisp will zap the strength of the Hero and Miffy every turn starting in round 2 cutting their attack power in half."

message 8542: by Cathy M. (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5976 comments I think Rebecca is just showing the effects in her example above. Technically the halving of the attack takes place in the same round, after you attack but before the Will-o-wisp attacks you but that doesn't affect your game until the next round since you have already attacked.

message 8543: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments I agree, I think it's after the monster attacks you, that attacks your power and then its effect is seen in the next round. Either way, you get your first attack with full power.

message 8544: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments Yep each round is hero attacks and then monster attacks so it would take effect in round two for hero and muddy but it happens in round one during the monsters half of the round.

It halves the attack at the beginning of it's turn as the first part of the will-o-the-wisp's attack. So that's why you get your first attack at full power since the wisp hasn't attacked you yet.
