Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments This may be a stretch, but would either of these work for a mostly red cover?

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen The Hound of Death by Agatha Christie Evil Under the Sun (Hercule Poirot, #23) by Agatha Christie

This was the same problem I was having, haha.

Alex | 1018 comments I think When God Was a Rabbit is about a girl with a pet rabbit, if that helps. I've heard good things about it.

I had to get to about the 5th or 6th page before the novel books started coming up.

I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'll toss back in some shorter ones next month. I get over ambitious when writing them sometimes :)

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments I was reading up on the bunny quest plus all the post in here about it. It says we have to eat an egg a week for it to count it we lose it. Do we post it in the HP section or battle section?

message 1457: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) I'm debating if I have the time/motivation to read the 15 books for the bunny alongside doing Death's Request (18 books) and the house quest (10 books). Decisions, decisions! I guess it depends on what kind of books I can buy at the market tomorrow. =p

I didn't get a definitive answer from Tea

Does this qualify for something round on the cover?

An Exception to His Rule by Lindsay Armstrong

For security I list my birthday online as January 1. I don't think I'll ever find a book published on New Years Day. What do you suggest? Never mind. I found some on my TBR.

How do we find books with multiple parts? You wouldn't necessarily know until you read the book.

Zuzana | 2568 comments Rachel, I would post it in my adventure log.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments If we don't use it, we lose it. So I was think we might have to keep track of it.

You would add it to your HP. If you were at max, you would lose it, so I would expect that you would have to attack something on Sundays, then apply the 3HP.

message 1462: by RachelvlehcaR (new)

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments Attacking stuff isn't an issue. I am always attacking something. Now, for me to finish up date night before it expires.

Sorry, was on tablet before and then got distracted by RL.
I rechecked what quests says and since quest says you need round object on the cover I wouldn't count that one. Image is round, but that's not object.
Now, if you find something round on that image, like a ring maybe, that would count. :)
And little info since your link goes to large print, for page count go with default edition (or another paper edition).

You don't need to read book published on January 1st. You need a book published in January (any date) and book published on 1st of any month. If we are talking about Academy - History

message 1467: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments Good job Tia! I am still so far, but I went up to level 6 this weekend!! I think I will focus on the horse and levelling up my staff :)

message 1468: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments I would put the egg eating in the adventure log. You can use eggs either during battle or after battle. Eggs are on a Sundary-Saturday week span so it's not an eat an egg wait 7 days time, you could eat one saturday then eat your next one on the sunday.

I would probably only hold onto the egg if you're going to level before you can attack more creatures since then you might waste the egg right before your full heal.

message 1469: by Cait S (new)

Cait S | 2825 comments I've never really asked this but I guess I should. Is it necessary to write out every single one of our monster battles? Like "I do x damage, goblin is at x health. Goblin does x damage..." etc etc all the way through, including all health potion uses and what not?

Because I've just been keeping a log of what my current health is and then I put "Killed on x date, I end with x health and x experience and item". And then keeping track of how many potions I have, just subtracting whatever I use when I use it. It just looked so sloppy to me writing out a full paragraph for each kill :/

message 1470: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) I just took the plunge and committed to the Terry Pratchett quest, the bunny quest, and the house quest. Not sure what I was thinking, but I'm hoping there will be a method to my madness in the end! =p

I was originally going to skip the quest to get the egg-laying bunny, but I think the benefits are too good to pass up. Having an extra +3 HP every week might become very important once people start getting into the higher levels and the next level up is hundreds of XP away.

message 1471: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Reva wrote: "How do we find books with multiple parts? You wouldn't necessarily know until you read the book. "

Some you may just have to scour for books others have found. I remember at least a few recent BOMs have had parts so you may be able to look at the breakdowns on the BOM lists (or do some creating searching of the boards).

Here's some that I remember:
Red Rising
Wool Omnibus
Unwind
Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West
The Knife of Never Letting Go
The Lies of Locke Lamora
Vicious

I'm sure there's lots more but this should give you a start. Looking on the amazon look inside thing helps you see if there's parts in the chapter list.

I'm fine doing an abbreviated version. I usually like to add a starting stats and end just so if I forget to update something I can go back and trace through to what it should be. It's mostly a way for you to reconstruct your quest if you need to figure out where you got out of sync on something.

Is it really a pet? Or just a creature that lives there? I suppose if I had a mouse infestation I wouldn't consider them pets. But if she cares for the bunny and treats him like a pet then I'll give you dust bunny as a pet :P

Awesome! They are definitely pets in the series. They all have names and individual personalities.

Does the red in this book cover All the Blue-Eyed Angels (Erin Solomon Mystery, #1) by Jen Blood exempt it from the grey/silver cover quest?

That would be ok. It doesn't need to be entirely that color just a significant portion. We usually say 50% but I normally judge it mostly with if you look at the cover what's the color you think of.

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) Do the two houses that are part of the Sticks and Stones May Build a House quests have any different qualities (e.g. like the two different horses do)? I'm just curious because that would definitely sway my decision!

message 1486: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Nope. These houses are the same. Just two different options. I'm still fleshing out houses in my head. I'm leaning towards there may be other residence types later that have different benefits (less or more). It's going to be your home base of trade skill type things.
