I suspect that you are right. Just wanted to confirm it with Kelly. I was enjoying being at full HP For a few hours after doing the treatments. Guess I'll have to start working my staff level up again.

Lol I was able to collect Treatment 3 on Saturday but wasn't thinking and waited until Sunday when I do all my attacks. Silly me.

Mary (wimew) | 397 comments A few questions

1 If I suggest a book on a buddy read and everyone passes it up Do I still get credit for the Academy for the rec?

2 How do you search for books that have *invasion or bribe involved

For the poeple that read so quickly how are you doing it (so far I've read almost a book a day (for this month) and my eyes are really tired)

message 1558: by Reva (last edited Mar 29, 2015 01:29PM) (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments I've started keeping track of book features that might be of use in current quests or future ones.

#4 Getting Lucky (Harlequin Blaze #381) by Joanne Rock 224 pages Read: 8 / 3 /2015 (Mar. 1, 2008), Romance, Char: Dexter & Lara, psychic, home invasion

The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss 508 pages Read: 24 / 3 /2015 (mar. 1, 1974) knight, Characters: Aislyn & Wulfgar, used gold 1066, cover >70% Red, Historical Romance 500+ pages, Castle invasion

The Widow's Bargain by Juliet Landon 304 pages Read: 17 / 3 /2015 (jan. 1, 2004) character Ebony, knight, armour, dress, Historical Romance, Castle invasion

Makes it easier to find matches long after I've read and forgotten little details but just stored the book in my tote.

Let's not forget Helter, Skelter or In Cold Blood

Zuzana | 2568 comments Well, how do In Cold Blood or Helter Skeleter relate to bribes or invasion? I've read both quite recently and I don't see it.

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments Home Invasions

Lots of Romances with "Reluctant" in the title often relate to bribes or blackmail.

For the recommendation, you should head over to the recommendation thread and either request one then read it or read one already recommended. There's a link in the quest.

For the buddy read one, it's the same type of rules that we had during tower teams where there should be someone else chatting with you. However, you can join in on someone else's buddy read or set up one with someone in the RPG challenge. It doesn't have to be one you start.

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments I know this is way too late to ask this, but for page numbers (I'm working on my magic staff) should we go by the edition we actually read or the most popular on GR? As I'm planning this out I was using my copy, but I'm seeing that some of them vary enough to make a difference that they could work for different levels (380 vs 410 for example).

message 1567: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments Also, Tia did you see my post in the caravan? I have the gold to buy your book if it's still available.

message 1568: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) I did, Rebecca. I read it on my phone while in an airport and completely forgot to respond after I got home - sorry about that! It's all yours!

It's ok to use the version you read. If it's large print or audio you should use the default version.

Cait that's what I did, which was a stressful decision to make! I'm just so tempted by that horse that I put all my books that I had designated for other things toward it.

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments Do all mentions of cat work or must they be felines?

I'm thinking of characters named Cat, cat burglars, cat of nine tails etc, cat got your tongue.

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments I feel so powerful affecting people's reading schedules..... :)

They should be actual cats. Though it can be a very casual mention or a mention of a cat they used to have or want to have. (or an imaginary cat!)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments Too bad, oh well. Going to work on Rabbit first anyway. I have a candidate in mind.

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Aww. He's so fuzzy.

Side note: googling easter bunny results in a lot of cute bunnies with some really disturbing images mixed in....

message 1582: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments For those who are interested. There's a separate Quest to Save Easter that features Novel Kingdom but is separate from the RPG quest. Since I know you all need more reading challenges :)

Mary (wimew) | 397 comments Are you serious Kelly? We need more? I've now had to hit 2 different libraries to try to fill these quests I have so much sympathy for the information desk people That I apologize in advance!

*I do enjoy them though*

message 1588: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Heh. It's for slightly different audiences :P Though it doesn't use up books you can use here (i.e. they count in both) so you can give it a try and there's no harm. Except perhaps a bit of sanity lost.

message 1590: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments I need to do a Buddy Read to complete my Academy Quest

How about one of these?

Rabbit-Proof Fence The True Story of One of the Greatest Escapes of All Time by Doris Pilkington Rabbit-Proof Fence: The True Story of One of the Greatest Escapes of All Time by Doris Pilkington 135 Pages Read: x /x/ 2015 (2002)

OR

Bunnicula by James Howe Bunnicula by James Howe 128 Pages Read: x /x/ 2015 (2006)

Either qualifies for the Rabbit

message 1591: by Cathy (new)

Cathy Galloway | 876 comments Reva,
I can do Bunnicula with you but I can't get the book from the library until Monday. I will check my daughter's library but I don't think we have it here.

message 1592: by Mary (new)

Mary (wimew) | 397 comments May I join the Bunnicula read too Reva? I'll see what I can get from the library

message 1593: by Cathy (new)

Cathy Galloway | 876 comments Yep, no Bunnicula here. Monday is the soonest I can start. With Easter on Sunday, my library has closed until Monday.

message 1594: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments There's no rush. I assume we can have more than 2 people in the buddy read. I plan to have read both books by this weekend but no reason why we cannot discuss it/them anytime.

message 1595: by Cathy (new)

Cathy Galloway | 876 comments Do we need to have this set up in Buddy Reads to have our discussion? (obviously I've never done this before)

message 1596: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments Cathy - that would probably be easier so you can have your own thread to discuss. If you ask, the mods will make you a thread :)
