Time for the Dead, The Queens New Clothing and Valentines Day Feast are now all Find Items Potion allowable. From this point on, it will have a mention in the quest if the potion is allowed, otherwise it's not.

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) By the end of this upcoming week, I will have a house, a bunny, and Death's gratitude - not too shabby, if I do say so myself. =p

Also, if anyone is still looking for an invasion book, you can read The Lathe of Heaven - I just finished it and the entire second half of the book concerns an invasion.

Zuzana | 2568 comments Tia, I'm in awe. Where do you find the time to read all those books? It's true that I already have a horse and a bunny but also no gold and no books in my tote. ;-) And the caravan is going to appear next week.

BTW I totally forgot about the invasion in The Lathe of Heaven and I've read it this year for a sci-fi/fantasy challenge. It's a great read and quite short too. Won Locus award and was nominated for both Hugo and Nebula awards.

Seems like Ursula LeGuin is great for invasion books.

Thanks for clearing that up!!

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments Man I definitely won't have any gold for this coming caravan, but I'll try to stock up for the next one. I think I'll definitely need to buy some bunny books in May.

message 1807: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments For the blueberry midas quest...how blue does the cover need to be? Is this blue Antiques Disposal (A Trash 'n' Treasures Mystery, #6) by Barbara Allan or should it be more? Thanks!

I actually got asked the same question by my Wheel-a-thon group last week, haha.

I'm 22 and live with only one other person who gets home later at night, so I have a lot of free time to do whatever I want. I also have a job that lets me listen to audiobooks while I'm there, which helps SO much - all of my Midas quest books are audiobooks.

I really liked The Lathe of Heaven. I read so much Ursula K. Le Guin this week for wheel-a-thon and I really appreciate the range of novels she writes - she's so talented.

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments Rebecca, sorry that cover looks more yellow to me. I'm not asking for certain amount of color on cover for that quest, but if that color makes enough impression. (if you understand what I'm trying to say). When I look at that cover you asked about, first I see yellow. Blue is there, but yellow sticks out.
But as always, if you see it differently, use it. :)

I agree with you Tea. I totally understand what you mean, so I'll keep looking. Thanks so much :)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3794 comments I've never heard of Ursula K. Le Guin before, but now I'm excited to check her out.

My library has The Lathe of Heaven in a blue cover!! Woohoo great day

Claire | 4251 comments I'm sorry if the question has already been asked, but is there any differences between the two houses porposed in the Sticks and Stones may Build a House quest? (apart from the picture of course)

message 1814: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments No difference. Just style.

message 1815: by Claire (new)

Claire | 4251 comments Ok thanks

message 1816: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) I'm so excited for the upcoming caravan and next month's quests! I'll have all the April quests finished by the first day of May and I'll be finishing up the last of the four Midas quests this week, so my pockets will be full of gold! Can't wait to start planning everything out (and I'm especially curious to see the addition to the house we'll be able to get).

message 1817: by Alex (new)

Alex | 1018 comments I'm assuming the caravan will be here by the end of the week? I've just realised I've got two and a half books still to read and an extremely busy work week.... waaahhhhh.

message 1818: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Caravan will be posted on the 22nd and will be open on the 24th.

message 1820: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Caravan's all ready to go :P Now I just have to get all of next months quests worked out.

message 1821: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) I don't know where you get the creativity to come up with so many new quests every month, but I'm very glad that you do! =p

message 1822: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments It comes from some warped place in my mind.

For example: Last month I was on the treadmill reading a Patricia Briggs book. And I thought hmmm the initials are PB..... PEANUT BUTTER!!! I need a peanut butter quest!

message 1823: by Alex (new)

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments I hope the larger quests will be sticking around. I have just started work on my house and horse.

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments With the book with something pointy on the cover requirement for the House quest, can that something pointy be a knife that is front and center in the photo but smaller yet an integral part of the book? Or does the pointy object need to be larger?

Hi stranger! Its been a while nice to hear from you

A knife is a knife. I doubt that size matters since it was not specified.

message 1828: by Alex (new)

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments Thank you, I spent last month slowly reading a 900 page book. This month my wife had a brain tumor removed in California and is just now able to return to a mostly normal around the house which has made for a rather stressful month.

message 1829: by Alex (new)

Alex | 1018 comments Sounds stressful indeed. Hope she recovers quickly.

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments Alex, my father had a tomorrow removed from his brain this past fall, so I understand a bit of what you must be going through. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments She did lose the hearing in her right ear permanently and has slight facial paralysis on her right side that will heal in time. Otherwise she is doing great, moving around a lot more than I expected her to. Thankfully our house is slowly returning to normal.

I'm very excited for today's caravan preview, too, but I'm content waiting for Kelly to have her coffee before we get things rolling. ;)

Here you go: Caravan

Let the speculation begin!

BTW the mods are going to be a bit quiet on the details of some of the caravan items until the May quests are posted in the next few days but you're welcome to speculate.

message 1843: by Cait S (new)

Cait S | 2825 comments Still won't have enough gold for the kitten. And next month when I will it will probably rotate out lol Darn the bad luck!

Yay cooking! I hope it's WoW-esque in giving buffs/heals.

message 1844: by Claire (new)

Claire | 4251 comments salt for cooking! Well since speculation is permitted maybe we will be able to brew our own potions? But then I'm not sure about salt and nuts comming up in a potion recipe...
What do you think?

message 1845: by Tia (new)

Tia (fatgirlfatbooks) When will the May quests be up? I need to know how to budget this gold, haha! =p

It might not be a potion, necessarily. It might be Skyrim-esque where you can bake yourself a pie that will give you some health. Or it could be needed for a quest of some sort. Maybe you'll need to find someone 10 nuts or something. We'll see!

message 1846: by Alex (new)

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments I find myself enjoying these long quests for the house and horses, I would be all for a convoluted mess of a quest that involves buying, cooking, and anything else the gods would want us to do.

Good. It will help to know how much salt to have on hand and how soon the squirrel will be needed.
