Some questions to think about for the first part:

1.Were you interested in Part I, which was mostly about Louis' childhood and running career?

2.How do you think his childhood and Olympic training helped him survive what would come later?

Kathryn Rudolph | 6 comments I will be completely honest - I didn't read the book description prior to starting (and still haven't). Also, not being in the US, I have no idea what the movie is about. Every chapter is a surprise. I have no idea what is to come and am enjoying hearing about Louis' start. Amazing to read about how he was able to go to the Olympics and it again proves that being in an activity and focusing your energies towards something you want, you can get anything you desire.

2. I don't really know what is to come later but I am going to guess that the determination to get somewhere other than where he was (into the olympics verses staying in his hometown) and never letting the negativity get to him for two long, shows he can put his determination in getting out of future situations. Looking past road blocks and not giving up.
