Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) Does this count for the task: 2. read a book where the MC is called a witch for Finite Incantatum:

Someone asks MC, a clairvoyant, “Why didn’t you use your broomstick to fly?”

*grin* That's close enough.

Mamacita aka MawMaw (mamawantsbedtimestory) | 1251 comments Two questions...

#1 ~ so I know we finished all the Spells, charms and purses. But do we also need to have spelled HOGWARTS to finish. Or is that just an extra option?

#2 ~ for 4. read a book with a significant character that doesn't speak much... would the quote "I mean I talked and she mostly gave vague responses back, but it was companionship none the less." or "I kept my mouth shut during the entire five-minute ride back to the Grove. I was too fucking angry to talk." work?

Spelling out HOGWARTS is only an option if you can't find a book to match any of the tasks.

That'll work :)

K thx.

I guess with #1 I was asking along with doing all the tasks if to finish, we need Hogwarts spell out as well.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. Spelling out HOGWARTS is not part of the challenge.

OK thanks. It was prolly just me misunderstanding.

Laura | 884 comments For Spell 7. Gemino, we have the task: read a book that you have a replacement for (for a worn-out or lost book).

If I have a Kindle edition of a book, and then get the Audible version, does that work?

The key word is 'replacement'. If the Audible version is replacing your Kindle edition, then yes. If you're just adding to your library, then no.

message 63: by Laura (new)

Laura | 884 comments Once I get the audio, I only listen. But I still own the Kindle edition. So maybe? :)

It still works for task #5, anyway.

For spell #4. Dranconifors,
criteria #1. read a book with small objects on the cover...
would the windows or the feather on this cover count as small objects?
Rapture (Fallen Angels #4) by J.R. Ward

There are plenty of small windows. I think it qualifies.

Sha | 266 comments Potentially stupid question as always, but if I'm doing a medium pace it means I have one week to complete a book, right?

Generally, yes. You could take a day or two shorter or longer. It all depends on the book you're reading and how busy (or not busy) your life is :)

Sha | 266 comments Thanks! :D I managed it this time~

Mamacita aka MawMaw (mamawantsbedtimestory) | 1251 comments When it says, MC's initials are found in EPISKEY does that mean 1 MC initial, both of 1 MCs initals, or 1 of each MC initals?

Am I making this way more complicated than it's supposed to be?

The author's MC's first and last initials are in the word. Sorry it wasn't clear.

How do we report if one person completes their task but the other one is using a HOGWARTS letter? My last book never fit any task, but I thought it might. I don't want to hold my teammate up...

Something like this:

Completion Post
SPELL: Alohomora
BOOK READ: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
DATE READ: 2/23/21
TASK #: HOGWARTS Spell-out
HOW IT FITS TASK: starts with a 'H'

I intended the legs to be human legs, but since I didn't specify that, any legs will work. Yes, the pig's legs are prominent enough.
