This might seem arbitrary pointless and pseudoscientific but I do arrange my bookshelf totally randomly - nonfiction, autobiographies, fantasy fiction, with all manner of authors from all over the world... I just feel that the chaos automatically triggers my creative instincts when I look at it as opposed to the more rigid, predictable, organized bookshelf.
Or maybe I am just lazy!
