what did you think about it, barry?

message 7: by BarryP (new)

BarryP (barrypz) | 3500 comments There were subtle changes in the construction of the story. I figure Lee was heavily coaching Andrew, but Andrew is a thriller writer in his own right, so his own style would creep through. The kind of ting I noticed was fewer instances of Reacher's innate cleverness showing through. Like when he sees somebody on the subway and can build a story about them based on his observations. I could almost say he was a bit cruder.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3500 comments Funny, but I see NTMA and should think "new to me author", but first, "not to my approval" comes to mind. Glad you liked it though, I did as well. Connolly is worth going back and picking up the series from the start. The character changes from then to now are dramatic.

I thought it was very good. There wasn’t anything I could put my finger on, just a little different
