Adventure Reading discussion

Only loosely related to the topics typically covered in this group. In the case of Into the Wild I would say it's more about the philosophy of adventure and The Wild Truth covers the family dynamics and how the people left behind deal with the departure of a loved one who has gone off on the hero's journey. I'm not quite finished with The Wild Truth but I thought Into the Wild was a fascinating read. Checking out of society is always an interesting topic although in this case the results were tragic.
