Goodreads Developers discussion

It's a shame. I use(d) the API on my little site to add some info to reviews. I guess Amazon doesn't want this anymore.

Has this actually stopped working for someone or are they still just not making new keys?

I'm not sure about others but last I checked mine was still working.

When was this and when did you get your key exactly?

Mine as well, that's why I haven't complained much. I never finished development, but everything I've tried to do has worked now wweeelll past when they said it would end.

I'm thinking they have left it and just decided not to support or expand on it. Which is fine. I get not wanting to put resources into something if it isn't making them money.

Mine is still working. I have a cron that uses my key a couple times a day, so hopefully it doesn't show as inactive in their system. I remember reading on one of these posts that someone had complained that they went a month or two without using their key, and found it was deactivated due to inactivity when they came back to try and use it again.

Is that possible to get book review data without developer key ?(because it looks like it's impossible to get developer key now)
Does it mean I can't get the data? or is there any other way to do it?

No new API keys unfortunately. Just use a scraper but be selective about what you scrape and your scrape rste.

I am trying to scrape it but the stupid "login" react component is blocking it! any way around that?
