Alex (The Scribe Owl) Hello! My name is Alex, from the blog The Scribe Owl. I read and review many indie and debut books, and I love to help out authors of all sorts.

I read mostly YA, but I'll read an adult book if it's clean enough. I read all genres besides horror and erotica, though fantasy is my absolute favorite.

Digital copies work best for me, and I hope that would work for you!

I will take into careful consideration which books I read and review because I only have so many open slots on my blog each month, but I'd love to give everyone's book a look!

I'm sorry in advance if I don't choose to review your book, but I try to only review books on my blog that I'm likely to like so I don't spread bad reviews just because it's not my kind of book.

Thank you in advance! <3

E.B. Roshan | 30 comments Hello Alex! I would love for you to review my new book, Love Costs. It’s a dystopian romance, and while it is written from an adult perspective, it’s actually intended for a younger audience—so it’s clean. If you’re interested in a free copy, please email me at btznvntATgmailDOTcom.

Sean Bai | 23 comments Hi.

Here's the blurb for my book. It's military science fiction, out January 1st. There is violence but no swearing or sex.

War.

An alien war.

The catlike alien asked the humans to fight in an alien war.

Can you believe that?

An alien ship crashed on Earth 5,000 years ago, throwing our solar system into a temporal bubble. No time has passed outside our solar system.

It is now 2030, ten years after a government shutdown that never ended.

A jackal-like alien almost killed Terry Chang. Now he and his friends must venture out into the unknown, where multiple alien races are on the verge of war.

Turns out mythology is not so mythical after all.

If you liked Ender's Game, Stargate, the Expeditionary Force Series, and the Earthrise series, you'll like this.

Audrey Lewis | 23 comments Good Morning Alex, I am hoping to launch my first magical realism novel "The Tapestry" early January. I would love you to review it before I launch. Currently it is a PDF. I wanted to know if you would still be interested.

“The Tapestry”, a story of hope, sacrifice, and self-discovery. You will witness the gender transformation of a virgin mother and her blind, albino, hermaphrodite child. The unlikely friendship of a coyote whose sight allows freedom to this child, while the child’s ability to hear gives survival to the deaf coyote. The lives that are touched by this unlikely pair see the person that they need to see rather than the person that appears before them sharing their gift. It is often forgiveness that weaves itself through each one of the stories, in the end, bringing them all together.

Thank you so much for the opportunity.
Audrey

Stephen Roth | 7 comments Hello Alex, my (literary) fictional novel, Evolution's Magnum Opus, is a Canada Book Award winner and has just been nominated for Canada's Giller prize, the most prestigious book prize in Canada. It had had a few initial amazing reviews but I am trying to get the word out - attract some reviews. KindleUnlimited or I can send PDF.

An intense courtroom drama plays out when young Tommy Henderson takes the stand to provide crucial testimony in his teacher’s sexual assault trial. Nothing could adequately prepare the boy for Lester Mobey’s meticulous cross-examination. The wily and experienced defence attorney never left a stone unturned and committed everything to win his last trial before retirement. The consequence of the jury’s verdict has devastating and deadly implications for Tommy and his teacher as they both grapple with the aftermath of the emotionally charged courtroom clash.

Rolanda Smith-Lyles | 22 comments I helped published this book, Stormy Weather, on Amazon. It is a creative non-fiction on Ranaildo's life based on his experiences during time in boot-camp training for the United States Marine Corps. The storyline starts with his graduating from high school and covers his first enlistment in the Marines. This story has a good mix of humor and weighty subject matter. Its a quick read, only about 53 pages. Really interested to know your thoughts.

Happy reading!
