Kevan Dinn (kevandinn) Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEG-l...

Modern Legolas and an amazing melee archer. Epic.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 167 comments I've just been looking at this. Wow! He has a point too, there are quite a few ancient pictures of archers holding multiple arrows.

message 5: by Scott (new)

Scott Marlowe (scottmarlowe) Cool. Some interesting details there. Also, make sure when standing alongside a line of archers you don't yell "fire!" Use "loose" instead.

message 6: by L.K. (new)

L.K. Evans That's incredible! I actually never thought of the quiver problem, but it makes perfect sense.

message 7: by Kevan (new)

Kevan Dinn (kevandinn) Splitting an arrow in mid flight was incredible.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments That's really cool. Wouldn't want to get on his bad side with a bow in his hand lol.

message 9: by Robin (new)

Robin This guy is SICK!!! I can't imagine how much effort and practice it took for him to get to his level. I'm in an exam period at the moment, I find it hard enough to study for 2 hours straight. I can't imagine spending countless hours drawing, aming and loosing a bow. Not to mention the hours of extensive research he must have done.

Thank you Kevan for sharing this with us. This was completely and totally amazing.

It is cool and informative.

message 12: by Maria (new)

Maria This guy is awesome. My fiance and I tried out some of his techniques the other day since we're both into archery and they're harder than they look. My aim is way off shooting on the other side of the bow and I couldn't manage to draw with my thumb at all. I also tried shooting from a closer distance than usual and found that my aim got worse the closer I got. My fiance actually had an easier time with this style since he hasn't been shooting as long and his habits are easier to break.

Well, the type of bow matters as well. I was an amateur archer too and my bow was ~1.70 meters tall (I'm 2.00m so ...) and was quite heavy as well. Most of his techniques seem pretty much impossible with such a bow. But yeah - he's amazing! I feel like a dummy, remembering my time practising. :P

Alissa | 220 comments Woah. Makes you want to try, but I guess it is hard to achieve even basic moves

Lol. I can't even manage them with my little 15 pound youth bow, let alone our 35 pound recurve.

message 16: by Nicholas (new)

Nicholas Kotar (ravenson) | 14 comments This guy makes computer-generated Legolas look pathetic. All the cool stunts in LOTR and the Hobbit pale in comparison. Here's hoping this guy gets hired by future fantasy films to do all the archery stuntwork!
