Although I do not have cable, and this series is one I have never seen, I have heard good things about the books, and checked out the first novel to see how it became popular enough to warrant screen time.
The book was an enjoyable fast read, and the mystery and thriller aspect was enjoyable, as were the characters. I like the relationships within the book, as well as the plot setting. It is similar to some other books series I have read, and know that this genre is very popular for a reason.
I am not sure whether I will pursue the others in this series...mostly because I have a lot of books in this challenge to enjoy...but, I would possibly do so in the future; especially since my library has them all.
I gave it four stars, though, mostly because it was a little predictable in plot. I figured out the ending before it came...but, it was still a nice ride. Again, a book I would recommend, and possible continue in the series.
