Thank you so much for starting this challenge. It was the kick in the pants I needed to tackle my TBR pile in a meaningful way. I have already completed 3 books which have been on my TBR list an average of 4 years. I have always joked that I love to read books of questionable taste (sometimes I say crap) and am in no hurry to do it!

It is so easy to get derailed by all the new books being published and hidden treasure just waiting to be discovered. I wish I had documented my TBR list number when I started this challenge, but I'm sure the number has gone up and not down in spite of my efforts. My Goodreads TBR pile sits at 878 right now.
This challenge got me moving to read several books that had been sitting on my shelf glaring at me for the past few years. And I've really enjoyed several of them including Sleeping Beauties and The Fourth Monkey.
Now I'm reading Serenity Falls and for a very long book, it reads fast and has a pretty dang good story.
I'm hoping a few more of the books coming off my tbr list are as good these.

This challenge has really helped me to whittle down some books that I’ve wanted to read for years.
I finally read Anna Karenina, Night Film and House of Leaves! I’m working on Swan Song at the moment.
I’m really glad the HA group decided to do this challenge this year. I feel like I’m making some progress finally on my TBR list. 🤣😂

I agree Serenity Falls is an excellent book. I'm currently reading the expanded version that was split into novels Writ in Blood, The Pack, and Dark Carnival. James A. Moore is one of my favorite authors and his Jonathan Crowley books are fantastic.

I was thinking this doorstopper of a book was the three books combined into one. LOL
Doesn't matter. I'm really enjoying it but I agree with some of the reviews about the typos. They don't spoil the story for me but some of them make me wonder if the book had an editor at all.

I’ve been happy with them all as well for very different reasons.
I think that I just didn’t get around to them because most are door stoppers! 🤣😂

There are still 266 physical books on my TBR shelves. I am not even counting my Kindle books at this point. That may change if I get into a Kindle-reading mood.

I have finished this challenge but am working on adding ( maybe subtracting would be more appropriate) more books to my TBR list before the end of the year.

Congratulations on a job well done!!
Finished this challenge with
a very charming story. Not horror but so worth reading.
I read so many books this year that sat on my shelves for far too long and so many were well worth reading. Glad this challenge got me to pick them up and give them a chance.

We may love horror but a good story is a good story. Can't pass them up no matter what.

I so agree! You need to mix it up every so often. There are so many amazing writers out there!
