Soph (soph_isobel_) | 5 comments Cassandra Clare*

Divya (divyasreemanikandan) Yeah! Cassandra's super good. But you should read Ember in the ashes series and if you're into sci fi check out Warcross. I was SO into it when I read it.

Divya (divyasreemanikandan) Haha, it's on top of my TBR ;) *grin*

Audrey (stuckonchapter13) | 7 comments If you want to read something that is quite dark, I would recommend you the Apt Pupil by Stephen King. The degradation in both characters, two people that lack moral. It is a book about the journey to insanity.

Trigger warning: talks about the holocaust in detail

Audrey (stuckonchapter13) | 7 comments I would also recommend the classic novel the girl on the train. It’s a fantastic thriller, you seriously have a hard time putting it down.

Audrey (stuckonchapter13) | 7 comments I also really enjoy Red, White and Royal Blue. Totally would recommend to anyone.

Divya (divyasreemanikandan) @Expresso and Books
is Apt Pupil a stand alone?

message 15: by Audrey (new)

Audrey (stuckonchapter13) | 7 comments It is a standalone but you can also find it in a story collection called different seasons. There is also a movie but I don’t recommend it, since the book is better.

I really want to read the lunar chronicles

message 17: by Lorelei (new)

Lorelei (literarylitanies) I also whole-heartedly recommend Red, White, and Royal Blue. I also recommend What If It's Us and Written in the Stars for a few more LGBTQ+ reads. You also can't go wrong with Cassandra Clare. If you are looking for a classic I recommend Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier.

Lauren (ilovereading_andts) | 2 comments I’ve heard the lunar chronicles is really good. I’m gonna start it as my next series !!

I've always wanted to get m..."

No problem! Happy to be useful! If you do enjoy that Stephen King novel than you will most likely like anything he like (seriously I literally read one of his short story's that was about a possessed car and liked it). For him it's all in is storytelling ability, I usually find that it's either you like him or not

What If It's Us has been something multiples peoples have been recommending to me lately so I'll definitely check it out. And Red, White and Blue is also one book that I love to recommend (it's just so perfect).

vallll | 1 comments Geekerella!!! If your looking for quick contemporary books you have to read it :)

message 23: by Lorelei (new)

Lorelei (literarylitanies) I also recommend If Cats Disappeared From the World by Genki Kawamura. It is a very short 200-page read that makes you question the necessity of life and what makes life worth living.

Divya (divyasreemanikandan) bookloverval wrote: "Geekerella!!! If your looking for quick contemporary books you have to read it :)" I actually am thinking of reading it soon. But there are a LOT of negative reviews too, right?
