Great selection of books. I'm reading War and Peace now, and I'm enjoying it so far. Fahrenheit 451 and The Thin Man are fun reads. Good luck on your challenge.

Good list! W & P is up for me this year, too.
Just finished my first book for the challenge, Agnes Grey. It was also my first Anne Bronte book, and I loved it. It was short, but packed with feeling for the characters. I love the way it was written in a diary form with Anne telling us her story.

I've had it on my challenge list for a few years, and finally got around to reading The Handmaid's Tale. I loved the way it was presented with Offred telling her story. Scary situation Offred was in, and I liked her flashbacks to the before time.
Congratulations on another one down Renee! You sure are bold putting War & Peace on the Old and New challenge! Thank goodness for alternates just in case. I'm planning on reading that next year after loving Anna Karenina this year.

I really want to read it this year, so I can get to some of the other Russian classics I haven't read yet, Anna Karenina being one of them.
