First off, the author of the book in the first link is the same as the author in the book of the second link, just written in Japanese script, so they need to be merged.
Secondly, the book in the first link is the digital coloured edition of the book in the second link. I couldn’t find it completely clear in the librarian manual, but I believe this still counts as a different edition of the book (not a separate book) and would need to be combined even though it is coloured? If so, the duplicate author has a lot of these digital coloured editions attached to his profile that need combining with the correct books.
Just as information, we do not merge author profiles in different languages. The English name should be primary and the Japanese name should be secondary on the books. If something has only been published under one name, it can retain just the one author name.
A bunch of the editions under the first author are not combined into editions of the same books. Would it be better for me to add these to the ‘combine’ thread?
