Just wanted to let you know that I moved your book to Case # 23 instead! Since mine worked for 2 :) I hope that's okay!!

Quick question as I think I'm confusing myself with the case elimination aspect.
So we're supposed to eliminate 8 cases in the first week. We have posted removal for 7 cases so far which leaves 1 left for the first week. Do we just not post for any cases until week 2 after that last 1 is posted? At that point we're only posting for page points?
Mostly asking as I've finished 3 books so far (working on reviews of them right now so I can post them) and I'm trying to figure out what I should be posting them as. Is it 1 for a case removal and then the other 2 just for page points?

Here is her response:
“Teams are supposed to pick the eight cases they want to eliminate as a team. Not members just using the first eight books they can fit in for case removal.
But to answer her question, yes after the first set of cases are read for they just post for page points.”

Got it, thank you!

So have we as a team decided which 8 cases we're going for first or did people just randomly pick cases based on what was finished?

I think this round we did random. But for future rounds and such we can definitely decide what to do. Then others can be posted for page points.

Okay, so I moved some things around, again, lol. After answering Jenny's question on the Q&A for this challenge. I am using my book for page points only since it wont work for any new cases for this round. Celia, I moved your Artificial Condition from Case # 18 to Case # 15 due to your page count being 158.
Meaning - 158 can work for cases 1, 5, 8, or 15. So it doesn't work for 18.
Connie's books are back in their original places - Case #2 and Case #20.
It also looks like we have 7/8 cases posted for now. It does look like Laura has a completed book on the SS, so once she has time to post that book on our review thread we will have completed our 8 cases this week.

You can put it for Case # 6 if Laura hasn't posted her book for her case yet. Or post it for page points only.

Ah okay, I wasn’t sure if the digits could be mixed up. Good to know they can’t :) Thanks for moving it, Alaina!

ok sorry (didn't realize i had to post in review sorry) Do i post now for week 2? or i wait till after the 8th and can i still use that book?
sorry also i have 3 other books i have read this week but their cases are already taken, can i use them for points or anything els?

Yeah, that's fine I'm going the same thing. Lmao.

If you post before the 8th they'll be counted for the first week of books. If you want to use your book to remove a case then you would have to wait until the start of the second week to put your book on the review thread.

Also PS, the double digit cases will be harder to remove. So I suggest as soon as someone has a book that can work for a double digit case it should be used.

Your chance of getting the 150 case is: 56%
According to the site I'm using to calculate offers.
Please let me know before the start of the next week if you're accepting the offer or going for a bigger payout. :D
If you want case specifics, please go to your teams review thread.

I just want to beat the other team lmao. I'm sure they will end up reading for the big points and then they will get bad offers.. hehehe

Sure sure.. let's talk after week 2 :)"
ok ok but just so we're clear whatever it is you think is going to happen between now and then won't happen.

If it is listed in the second spot but when you go to the edition it still has more rates then you can still use it. Sometimes GR lists it second even when it's first. However, if it is definitely no longer the most rated you'll have to use the new rated edition pages.

If we are not, then we should probably figure out what six cases we want to remove next week. :)

ETA: Six cases next week to remove??
11, 25, 18, 13, 16, 1???
ETA2: When will we know the value of the 8 cases we picked out this round?

Question. I have 4 books already read starting Jan 1st. Can we use them? Or only book I'll read starting today?
(171 pages; 337 pages; 362 pages; 360 pages)

Idk if it changes since you joined a little late but the books from 1/1 to 3/31 should all count?
Ok here's where the values stand after our cases were removed.

In my opinion an offer of 55 is low and it seems we have a good chance of getting something higher. There are only 5 cases below the 55 value and 11 cases above the 55 value. But of course I'm fine with whatever the group decides.

Any book that you started on the 1st until March 31st will count for this challenge :) As for posting books on the review thread, since we can't claim any new cases until the 8th, I would suggest posting them for page points right now.

Hmm since Laura still has her book for Case # 22 that wasn't posted yet, I would suggest using her book for Week #2.

Great. Posted all of them for page count. ;)

Ugh. I'm still trying to figure out the rules. lol Never watched the show.

Lol you are more than welcome to finish it before the 8th and claim a case on the SS, you just can't post until the 8th on the review thread for the actual case.

Starting the 8th you can post for your next six cases you'd like to remove. Until then your team will receive regular page points for all books posted.
I recommend saving books for the coming weeks if you know they'll work for a double digit case. :) Remember, if you miss removing all the necessary cases your team is removed from this round and you will receive no bonus points.
After the 8th and after you've posted your six cases you'll receive your next offer!
