I have read the giver but I never realized it was a series. I need to read more Brandon Sanderson.

The Giver series is made up of very different stories. As long as you don't necessarily expect a continuation of the first book, I think you'll enjoy them.

Yes, on Sanderson! Mistborn was my first, and it hooked me all the way. I've finished several of his series now. I'm honestly putting off the Stormlight Archive because he still has 6 books to write and I hate waiting in the middle of a series... *looking at you, Rothfuss* :P

Also Celia do you want to buddy read Piranesi in January? I've been eyeing this book for a little while now

Sure! I've never done a buddy read before, so I may need some coaching. I'll check out the instruction thread after work today :)

So I just wanted to see if you all wanted your own team spreadsheet? So that you can add books and such. Or if you want me to do one giant tracking and scores for the teams and you all can just look at it. Not edit or add anything to the spreadsheet but just see what you, as a team, have posted for.

Up to you, please let me know!

Personally, I like being able to add and reorganize stuff as needed before we post it.... Seems best for maximizing points.

I'm good with whatever though :)

For a buddy read, we agree on a date, ask for a thread and there we try to read the book around that time but it's ok if we don't read it exactly at the same time.

When did you want to read Piranesi by Susanna Clarke ? :) I'm free anytime

I agree, I prefer to have a team spreadsheet. It's a nice way to plan stuff out, and I usually find them easier to digest than the huge ones

I should get it from the library by the 14th. Is that okay, Kelly?

Kelly | 3912 comments Yes it's fine with me. I'll ask the thread once I'm on my laptop.

Personally, I would absolutely like a SS! My "vote" is late, so thanks for making it.

Celia (cealcrest) Hey Alaina,
May my mom join our team? She has never done a book challenge before and we'd like to be on the same team. She only wants to commit to 1-2 books for the month because she hasn't really been reading lately. I had her join the group. Her profile is here: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4...

I also haven't read that series in a while. After Prince Caspian, I never dove into the third book.. and that was in 2017. Oops? Maybe I should dive into that. I think I own all the books now.

Just wanted to let you all know that I've updated our team's SS with what has been posted on the review thread. I've also moved some books around that were already on the SS for spots that were posted for the current round.

Hope that's okay with everyone!

Question, now that we've finished our first pass of round 1, do we move on to round 2 or do we do the second pass of round 1? I wasn't sure which way it worked.

Round 1 - First 10 Tasks
Round 1 - Second 10 Tasks
Round 2 - First 10 Tasks
Round 2 - Second 10 Tasks

OR

Round 1 - First 10 Tasks
Round 2 - First 10 Tasks
Round 1 - Second 10 Tasks
Round 2 - Second 10 Tasks

You post for the leftover tasks of Round 1. Once Round 1 has been fully completed, you post for Round 2.

The one I just finished doesn't fit into round one, so I dropped it in the SS for round 2 and I'll add the review when we get there
