Finished my first book of the year
! It's a new release (well, yet to be released, I guess lol) and it's the end of a series... for now. The author said she will come back to the series eventually, but I'm counting this for my Finish the Series challenge. It's the end of this arc, at the very least.

Finished my re-read of
and it was great! Unfortunately, I haven't yet read any books that count toward my mount tbr challenge *sigh* π

Me either Lili so I get that feeling!! I just have to finish the one I'm reading though.
Keep enjoying the books
Keep enjoying the books
In January I read 4 books (3 were re-reads):
3 books I purchased and one was an ARC, although all 4 were ebooks.
ALL of them were 5 stars, which is a nice change from last month's mediocre books π¬
And all 4 were adult urban fantasy.

Finished
. Another one off the tbr. I wasn't planning on going back to this series so soon... but here we are. Lol.

Finished my one fantasy book for the year lol
And it was SO good!! I think I actually liked this more than the OG series, Crown of Shards π

Finished
and it was great! I'm doing pretty well on the New Release Challenge, but because of that, I'm not doing so great on the Mount TBR challenge π

Thanks guys! Yeah, I've only started one series so far this year... but we're only two months in and I have zero faith in myself to keep that number that way π€£
In Februrary I read 1492 pages across 4 books
and 1 novella
The 4 books were part of a series and the novella a standalone. I also started 1 new series and finished 0 π
2 were ARCs and the rest finished copies. 4 were ebooks and 1 was an ebook/audiobook combo.
4 were 5-star reads and 1 was a 4-star.
All books were by authors I've previously read.
4 were adult books and 1 was YA... I think? Lol.
I read a Horror Comedy, Paranormal Romance, Fairy Tale Retelling, Epic Fantasy, and a Horror book.

Thanks guys! So that trick to that, Elena, is reading books by authors whose work you know you'll love π But I do need to branch out this month and read some books by new-to-me authors.

Elena wrote: "I get it! But it's also good to read new authors as you don't know where the brilliant might be hidden :D"
Yes, exactly! And it's especially surprising when it's a random freebie I got from Amazon. Lol. I've found a lot of gems that way!

Read
. Wasn't great but at least it was better than the one I read yesterday π And I'm finally making some progress on that tbr.

There are some freebie gems out there for sure. Theres also a lot of dirt so it can take a lot of sifting!
Good progress you've got going on Lili!

Read
. I think I'm gonna take a break from these books before I fall into a reading slump. Lol. These last three have been duds π¬ I am doing a fun board game for Dewey's 24 hour Readathon, so I'm gonna go do that. I just landed on contemporary so I guess I have to go read a contemporary now. Not my favorite genre, but I don't dislike it as much as I used to. Lol.

Finished
... finally. It was... not my favorite. But at least it's another book off the tbr π
I have 2 more books left to finish this series, but I'm gonna take a break from this series is too, I'm just not enjoying it very much. The romance is killing me! I kinda hate. Lol. Anyway, after finishing that I almost want to go back to more Stine books... why am I a martyr? π

I guess?? π
So I finished
and it was SO GOOD! It was really cute and fun and I really enjoyed it! Especially after having read so many duds in a row. Lol. I'm gonna have to catch up on all the other Marissa Meyer books I haven't read.
So I finished

Read
and I really enjoyed it! It was really cute and I liked the banter bewteen the characters. Didn't love it as much as Instant Karma, but still a really good read! Especially for someone who doesn't really read contemporary. Lol.
I also read
and it was so fun revisiting these characters. I missed them!

I also read

Yeah! When it comes to contemporaries, I tend to stick with authors whose work I've read before, and that seems to be working for me so far. Lol.
So after my second contemporary, I landed on Read a Short Story, so that's why I read covid-128. After that I landed on Read for 2 Hours, so today I read
. Stine books are always a good 2 hours or less, so that one was easy. Next I have landed on Read an Audiobook π¬ I don't know why, but I'm just not into audiobooks, so this was another square I was dreading. I was actually going to bend the rules and listen to a narration that's not technically an audiobook, with the story being a good 4 hours long. But I actually want to try and complete the prompts here. Lol. So I went to my library and just browsed the site. I finally settled on
because I've been really slacking in my Japanese studies so maybe listening to this will get me back into gear. HOWEVER, I also need a physical book to read so I rolled again and landed on Read a Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I think this is technically cheating but I'm gonna be working on both of these squares at the same time, so it's fine? Lol. So for this square I think I am finally going to start
. Maybe. Lol.

I think thats allowed in this case so go for it. And its fabulous that the game is getting you to try other things
In March I read 8 book and 1 short story.
