Lance internalizes his feelings about the investigation and his mother’s attempted “suicide,” leaving Morgan out, causing her to confront him rather directly. Your thoughts about how she handled it?

I think she did the right thing. Lance is used to doing everything on his own. She made it known that she was there for him, just like he is there for her.

Her way of confronting him was perfect. She never gave up on him but let him know in the biggest way that he was hurting her. It got his attention in a way she never would have otherwise.

Melanie handled it well. She realized where he was coming from and didn't give up on him. I really like their more adult and mature relationship without unnecessary angst.

I know. This could have been dragged out with her being hurt, going away and the. Him having to pursue her, which I would have found tiresome.
