Hi everyone, welcome! How is your month going? So, we are several weeks into 2021, do you have a favorite book yet? I've read a lot of books that I have enjoyed and in fact the books I am reading right now, I like, but they are not in the "wow, that was great" category.

"I'm in a thriller kick since the beginning of the year -- which is a first for me. I'm not really into thriller... or at least I wasn't. I'm confused at the moment. I just finished When No One is Watching and I freaking love it! I'm raving about it all over, reccommending it left and right. I know it's early to tell, but I think this book is gonna be on my top 2021 books list!
I feel like I'm gonna be on a romance mood next cuz I'm thinking of picking up a few romances that are just sitting on my kindle!

Yes my favourite was Colleen Hoover heart bones, it was amazing, month isn’t going great but partly due to my fiancé been off last week so I spend time with him. So I’m 66% through my third book, and read 63 pages of 4th book. Hoping to finish third today
These answers are exactly what I needed. This has been a super slow reading month for me. I don't know why, I usually do really well in the beginning of the year. Vivian's thriller suggestion just went on my TBR and Heart Bones is sitting on my Kindle. Idk why I do this with all Colleen Hoover's books...I put them off and then when I read one, I fall in love.

I'm still reading every day since it takes my mind off the mess we are in right now. I read a couple of 3-star books (maybe I want more out of books than I used to) but another one was a definite 5 star called Redwood (Linear Tactical #11) by Janie Crouch. I loved it! It is a mystery with hot chemistry between the main characters.

I read a lot of Brazilian folklore so I would know if it would be something I read before. I have criticized so many books for creating Brazilian characters who speak Spanish all the time that I'm becoming the official complainer on Goodreads for that.
I agree about the slow reading month. I'm tending to watch more films and series at the moment. Nothing that's blown me away so far but I'm trying to clear my shelves so maybe that's why. I've started Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine. I've heard good things about this book.
I just finished a short story collection by William J. Locke, that included the story Ladies and Lavender, which was made into a film in 2004. The film starred Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. I thoroughly enjoyed the collection of stories, but I realized that I didn't need a fast-paced book this month, I just needed a good story.I've been watching more movies/videos this month too.
Has anyone watched the show Big Sky? I loved it but no one else I know has watched it.
