Buddy Read Recruitment

I will try to remind everyone about one week prior to give people time to grab it from the library, etc.

I will also try to join the Dandelion Dynasty BR - I own the first two books already.

I voted for it in the poll for next month's group book, but it came in second - and it's been in a poll twice. I'm not extremely excited to read it, but I am interested, and curious. I don't read much sci-fi - but do like watching it. It didn't use to be in our library, but now is, so I'd like to take advantage of that. Not fussed about when.

I'm interested! I know I won't get to it until March though.

My copy of The Grace of Kings should be arriving any day. :-)
Also Sarah, it doesn't look like the link to the BR is working.

Thanks! I think I fixed it now.

March is good. I’m still reading Amina al-Sirafi and Jade City is waiting for me.

Time limit is the Virtual Book Club towards the end of February 2024 (probably February 25 or March 3, as VBCs tend to be on Sundays).

Time limit is..."
My hold for it just came up!

sounds good to me as it's on my TBR pile

:-)

A lot of my friends recommend Tchaikovsky’s novellas and I thought it might be a good start. Sounds interesting and it’s a part of a series containing three standalone novellas set in different worlds.

I have Ogres on my TBR list too :)

Would anyone else like to join us?

Would anyone else like to join us?"
I would like to join, but I was going to reread Gideon before trying Harrow. I feel like I missed a lot in the audiobook the first time round and because of that wasn't impressed by the book in general.

(Series BRs are not added to the BR list, they're on the series list, that's why I'm posting links for this and Broken Earth.)

I’m about 30% into stone sky and loving it but I don’t have story graph…I don’t think I could keep up with 2!

It's been a while since I participated in a BR, so I forgot there's two separate list.

I am! I'm about 1/4 through now. I needed a little fantasy before tackling Word for World.

I totally agree, Olga! I listened to the audiobook, which was excellent, but I do feel like I missed quite a lot of the intricacies. It was really hard to keep track of all of the characters. Gideon is on my shelf, waiting to be read, but I don't think I can get to her this month. And I definitely want to finish the series!
