I am! I'm about 1/4 through now. I needed a little fantasy before tackling Word for World."
OK, I will wander over to the library to see about it. I imagine it like a Guy Gavriel Kay book, but Asian-y.
That impression is based on no actual information whatsoever.

Definitely! I’ll go start a roll call in thread I guess.

it's good for me"
Ok, so let’s make 4th of March official start date for Firewalkers. I’ll make a thread as soon as things get a little bit less crazy at work.

Same here. February seems packed to the brim already and I'm even getting a bit anxious about getting to all the planned Feb books.
But in March it seems pretty feasible.
What about you, Cheryl? Shall we join the party late, in March?

Either way is fine! We have the series thread, it has links to the "official" threads, but I won't force you to chat there, since a perfectly good spoiler tag enabled thread exists :) All I ask is that any lengthy finished reading musings be shared in the official spoiler thread!

I have wanted to eyeread Gideon and the other two books in the series so I'd definitely be in for late March. Olga and Diane, do you want to read Gideon first starting late March? Or will you be ready for Harrow then?

Oh yeah! Gideon the Ninth buddy read for March 19 then?

Please count me in.

It looks like we are planning The Wall of Storms for mid-late April. I’m thinking a target date of April 21st, for anyone that was looking to join in for the later books.
Thread is here: Dandelion Dynasty Buddy Read

Oh! I need to catch up then! :)
Should we use the spoilers thread for discussion?

There's also a series BR thread for the whole Locked Tomb series:

Oh, I didn't see that. Thanks!

I forgot about this book - anyone still want to BR later this month? actually to be released in two weeks.

The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate: Discoveries from a Secret World won our "No Fools Here" April Fools Day poll! When shall we buddy read it?

start reading :D

huh, a nonfic? are you sure it's not Semiosis? :))

I will join in whenever you pick.
I will join in whenever you pick.

Always up for science books about plants!

There's actually some really good plant science in Semiosis. Burke definitely did her homework!
Semiosis was a must-read for me. I was sold at sentient plants.

exactly. Semiosis was one of the best SF I read in the last five years. Really opened my eyes about plant's communicating with each other. I might join the nonfic BR too :)

That should work, thanks.
I kinda dragged my tightly plotted reading schedule, but in the worst case scenario I'll delete Piranesi from the list since it has no strings attached (VBC or anything else).

I have some doubts about Nona though. There were zombies mentioned in the blurb and it's a huge red flag for me... Does anyone know if they are actual zombies or just another word for the skeletons the necromancers raise?
They are not zombies like the Walking Dead. I see why they used the term but I don't think it's a good descriptor for that group

Thanks, Allison!
In that case I'll give it a try.

Yes, Harrow is next up on my list also!

Would anyone else like to join us?"
I would love to join you, but I really want to reread Gideon first.
