Not to scare anyone off because I did enjoy most of it but one of the worst cliffhangers I have read. Better have book 2 queued up, or not if you don't like it :)

Becky, Diane, and myself are thinking of a BR for The Deep by Rivers Solomon. We're currently thinking of starting either Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Would anyone else like to join?

The Ocean at the End of the Lane (178 pgs)

June 15th:
The Day of the Triffids (228 pgs)
Jade City (498 pgs)

If no one else objects, can we switch one of April’s with one of May’s? There three books I want to read, and 2 of them are in May and none in April...

It doesn’t really matter to me which two you swap from April and May. But I’m planning to read The Parable of the Sower, the Ocean and the Day of the Triffids.

Since Rivers of London didn't make it I only have one I plan to read so anything works for me.

I'm only reading Parable so anything is fine. (I voted for Anubis Gate, but turns out my library doesn't have it)

I want to reread Jade City and now that I already checked my schedule, May would be better.

Too many books high on my TBR were selected 😂 The only one I've already read is The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and I would like to participate in all the remaining ones, but that's gonna be challenging. I will probably need to prioritise and drop something...

Will definitely join The Ocean at the End of the Lane although I did read it many years ago in graphic novel form.
Quite a few of the others appeal as well depending on my commitments, although I'd forgotten just how important 'The Day of the Triffids was to getting me into syfy as a teenager (centuries ago).
Read the book, seen the films and TV series. I might read it again just to see if I'm being over nostalgic.

It sounds like everyone is OK with option B, so we'll go with that unless someone objects before the next time I check in!

Any takers for Machinehood?

A moment ago, I ordered it through interlibrary loan.

Anyone up for a buddy read of Jo Waltons Thessaly trilogy? The first book The Just City is on the groups shelf already so I'll be continuing from book two.

I read book two of Thessaly late last year, but would definitely be up for a buddy read of book three.

Oops, they cancelled my order b/c it's so new the other library didn't want to make it available for interlibrary loan. Maybe I will buy it. Stay tuned! ^_^

Is anyone up for a series BR of the Patternmaster Series - Wild Seed and sequels? I am planning to read the first one this month and maybe one a month after that

I have it from Prime Reading too. it's still included, I just checked.
I would join. Threads for Wild Seed exist under 2012 group reads.

I knew Wild Seed had been a group read; I will start it after I finish a couple of other books this month. I will check out the old thread, but I want to read at least the second book close to the end of March/beginning of April.

I was thinking about doing a read of The Chronicles of Prydain starting sometime around May and was looking to see if anyone would want to join me. It starts with The Book of Three for those not familiar with it.

I don't think we have any series threads for Butler, besides Parable of the Talents, so I'll be happy to add Patternmaster to the series list! (I'll do that after someone starts the series thread.)

I've already read The Obelisk Gate, but have yet to read The Stone Sky. I would join in for that!

I'm planning to start 'The Obelisk Gate' tomorrow and have got hold of a copy of 'The Stone Sky' so I'd also be happy to join for that one as well.

Great! I'll propably start "The Obelisk Gate" on Monday. We could start "The Stone Sky" March 23 for example. What do you think? Or do you need some more time to get the book?

I’ve got the Obelisk Gate up as my next audio, which I should be starting in the next few days. I don’t think I can’t squeeze in the Stone Sky so soon either, but don’t let me stop you!
