Entropia | 283 comments I dunno if I will be doing challenge this year - I will be quite busy and most likely won't have that much time to read. I think it's best for me to not pay attention to challenge much and just check every now and then if I got anything fitting for prompts.

My general goals:
-21 books
-at least 3 books in language other than Polish or English
-having fun despite lack of time

Books by rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Arrival by Shaun Tan
ATY prompts it can be used for:
-A book related to the lyrics for the song "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music
-A book with a monochromatic cover (it's a stretch, though)
-A book that fits a prompt suggestion that didn't make the final list (second chances, fills a hole, major life altering event, beautiful book and probably few more)
-A book set in a made-up place
-A short book (<210 pages) by a new-to-you author
-A book that you consider comfort reading
-A book involving an immigrant
- Travel theme (depends how you interpret it)

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers by Robert M. Sapolsky
ATY prompts it can be used for:
-A book that fits a prompt suggestion that didn't make the final list (animal on cover, mental health)
-A book whose title and author both contain the letter "u" (it's a stretch, authors second name is Maurice)
-A book related to a word given by a random word generator (my words:desert, vein, spontaneous, pill)
-A book whose title contains a negative
-A book that might cause someone to react “You read what?!?”
-A non-fiction book other than biography, autobiography or memoir
-A book with six or more words in the title

Inne Pieśni by Jacek Dukaj
ATY prompts it can be used for:
-A book with a monochromatic cover (almost)
-A book that fits a prompt suggestion that didn't make the final list(A book with a trope or story element you know you love)
-A book set in a made-up place (sorta, geography seems to be same as our world, but places are called differently or are made up)
-A book that features siblings as the main characters (it's a stretch again, they are important, but I'm not sure if main is right descriptor)
-A cross genre novel
-A book connected to ice (author wrote a book called Ice)
-A long book
-A book whose cover shows more than 2 people
-A book set in a country on or below the Tropic of Cancer (not throught the whole novel, but quite a sizable chunck takes place in Africa)
-A book that might cause someone to react “You read what?!?”
-A book related to a codeword from the NATO Phonetic Alphabet (Alfa)

Note: the book is listed here as 4 stars book, whereas I rated it 5 stars - the reason is that I was rereading it by listening to audiobook and I had less fun than with my previous reading

⭐⭐⭐

Boży bojownicy (Trylogia husycka, #2) by Andrzej Sapkowski

-A love story (kinda)

-A cross genre novel
-A book with a character who can be found in a deck of cards (Fool, Magician)
-A book by an author whose career spanned more than 21 years
-A book whose cover shows more than 2 people
-A book with a travel theme (kinda)
-A book with flowers or greenery on the cover
-A book with elements of magic
-A book whose title refers to person(s) without giving their name

The Thing on the Doorstep by H.P. Lovecraft
ATY prompts it can be used for:

-A book set in a state, province, or country you have never visited
-A book with a female villain or criminal (kinda)

-A book that might cause someone to react “You read what?!?” (I haven't read manga in years, so it would be quite surprising for anyone that knows me)
