MJ | 176 comments A few years ago, I planned out a very ambitious 100 years of women challenge, and did very little actual reading. I've stuck to the BINGO the last several years, and never finish. Here I am again! This last year has been very different, and for the first time I've been really blah about the reading challenge that's been my focus for the last 4 years. Time for a change? From my understanding, I need to fill in my selections for the following challenge before the calendar switches over... or maybe that's just for the old/new tbr challenge... not actually sure about that.

I can't remember if I've ever done a group read here! I've read three of the five reads for January, but there's one of the other two that look interesting...

Terry | 2421 comments MJ, I don’t know what the official rules might be, but as far as I know, I think you can fill in the blanks as you go. I think the important thing is to enjoy your experience. Good luck with your challenge!

Thanks Terry! That's my take on it after looking at the explanations of all the challenge options.

MJ | 176 comments I finished The Metamorphosis last night, and added it to my bingo. It feels a bit like cheating to use it for one of these challenges also, but it fits for the 20th century prompt in:

Challenge #4 - Members Choice Classic/Genre Challenge

What a troubling book. I was sad and disturbed, and the ending disturbed me some more. Well-written for sure, and I will definitely read more Kafka (sooner rather than later I think).

I'm still reading The Captain's Daughter, but my reading pace will slow now that I am no longer on holiday as of this morning. I have The Lonesome Bodybuilder downloaded from the library and will read that one next. I haven't looked to see if it could fit somewhere into these challenges, but I think it will be a side read.
