Thomas Murray | 16 comments Wishing everyone a great new year! A Jamaican radio station interviewed me as a published author. You can hear the interview at December 31 at 1200 EST/1700 GMT at http://www.topsradiofm.com and on the 3rd of January at 0900 EST/1400 GMT at unityliveradio.co.UK. The interview is only about 15 minutes, but I give some insight to my books and me as an author. Give a listen!

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments I just tried to listen to this, but apparently it isn't available in the UK. Never mind, I think this is a great place to put out the word about your book. Congratulations, and good luck!

Thomas Murray | 16 comments Hello, Helen. The UK interview will be this Sunday at 1400 GMT. Try again then.

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments Thanks, Thomas, I'll try to listen in then, though I will be getting ready for my online spoken word event at that time.

Thomas Murray | 16 comments There is another one today at 1700 GMT/1200 EST. What is your online spoken event about?

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments It's called Fiction Fix, and it consists of 6 authors reading a couple of A4 pages live on a live-stream to Facebook. We have a Facebook group for both authors and listeners, called The Finger on the Pulse. We live-stream each month to Facebook via OBS Studio, then the Zoom video (we use Zoom to keep everyone together) is posted the next day on my YouTube channel, Helen Claire Gould. Here's a link to the last edition: https://youtu.be/Dkb6lY_vP5I. We are multi-genre and aim to support self- and independently-published authors, particularly, and also unpublished work, and unfinished work. It is about live performance reading of your work, rather than getting feedback. Up till Covid struck, I was doing 2-3 readings locally at open mic nights and so on a week, so I kind of miss that, but moving Fiction Fix Live online has helped, and I've done the next drafts of 2 more novels this year. I hope to publish them next year, about 3 months apart.

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments I'll aim to check the 5 pm run out - I think I might need to download the TuneIn app! Cheers!

Thomas Murray | 16 comments What genre do you write in? I have two novels already published and almost have finished my third. The first one is international suspense, the second is an animal story for the young at heart. The details are below:

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments Oh, thanks for that, Thomas. Unfortunately I missed the run tonight as we had to go out around the time, but I do intend to download the TuneIn app to my phone, so hopefully I'll be able to pick up the Sunday afternoon session while I'm getting ready. I write science fiction with a big dollop of fantasy, though I do use my degree in geology and planetary science in my writing. You can read some of my work on my website: www.Zarduth.com. The next 2 books I'm working on at present, and hope to bring out next year are The Zarduth Imperative: Discovery and The Zarduth Imperative: Clanship - they're military SF of a very unusual kind...!
