Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2305 comments Read this bizarre lil story about a woman who falls in love with a wall. The crazy part is how normal it all seems!

Wall of Kiss by Gina Ranalli (I won't post the cover because it's hideous lol)

Andrea | 2164 comments I haven't read AA Andrew McGahan before, but I'm very glad to have found him, even if he is no longer with us. The Rich Man's House is the kind of book that could pull you out of a reading slump so quickly your head would spin!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments I thought from reading the print version that I knew how good Robert Hillman’s latest novel, The Bride of Almond Tree was, until I heard it narrated by the very talented Casey Withoos, who really brings this novel to life. She had me choking up, but also laughing a lot more than I remember doing with the print version. What a utter joy this is to listen to!
In fact, so good I decided to listen all over again.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments The Maid is the brilliant debut novel by Canadian author, Nita Prose. Not out until next January, but keep an eye out for it, it definitely lives up to the hype.

Carolyn | 9841 comments No Gods, No Monsters (The Convergence Saga, #1) by Cadwell Turnbull No Gods, No Monsters by Cadwell Turnbull, is described as literary urban fantasy. I suspect it will appeal more to readers of literary fiction that lovers of fantasy.

Sarah | 1543 comments Here's my review of Fenella Souter's collection of articles How to Fake Being Tidy: And other things my mother never taught me - not a domestic self-help book as the title might suggest but a set of witty and perceptive reflections on the preoccupations of modern life.

Carolyn | 9841 comments As you might guess from the title, The Wrong Goodbye by Toshihiko Yahagi The Wrong Goodbye by Toshihiko Yahagi is a homage to Raymond Chandler and is so well done it feels like a 1930/40s thriller (except for the mobile phones and computers).

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments I've just enjoyed stories by a couple of excellent authors, and I've included download links for both.

Switzerland by Nicole Krauss is about a thirteen-year-old American boardingschool girl in Switzerland who has her eyes opened by two exotic eighteen-year-olds.

I've only just discovered Claire Keegan, so I quickly grabbed her story The Forester's Daughter. An Irish farmer woos a woman with tales of his fine home, but when she sees his uncared for old house, she tells some tales of her own.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments Well I certainly wasn't disappointed with the second book in Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club series, The Man Who Died Twice. Perhaps, now that I know these characters, this one is even better than the first. More of this cast will definitely be welcome!
