Kerri_M | 592 comments Just finished The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams

I don't write reviews, (and never read them before reading a book) but occasionally will read them after I finish one, to find out what my friends have thought.

@Phrynne has captured in her opening paragraph my feelings on this one https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Highly recommended The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams ★★★★★

It is a lovely story, well written, and with some food for thought - good reading for a rainy day :)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments When I reviewed the print version of The Hush by Sara Foster, I said it was the best dystopian fiction you'll read this year. Narrators Cathi Ogden and Tamala Shelton bring that across brilliantly in the audio version.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments While I would not generally choose to read seventeenth Century British history, when Minette Walters is writing it, it’s immediately on my TBR. The Swift and the Harrier Never dry or boring, this is history with interesting characters and thousands of fascinating tidbits woven in, with clever, witty and amusing dialogue, with action, drama and even a bit of romance: who can resist!!
