Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I have several of Jacquelyn Mitchard's books sitting in my TBR, having loved the first few I read. Her most recent, The Good Son, is out Jan 2022, a powerful and thought-provoking read that tells me I really need to unearth her others.
a big 5★s for this one!

Carolyn | 9840 comments My review of The Girl She Was by Alafair Burke The Girl She Was by Alafair Burke, a complex mystery I didn't enjoy quite as much as her previous stand-alone mysteries.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments I didn't know Iris Apfel's story at all, but Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara has told it well in the Little People BIG DREAMS series. From childhood, Apfel marched to her own drum, became a fashion icon, and encouraged children everywhere to follow their passions.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments The Marriage Test by Suzanne Redfearn is another of the Amazon Original Stories by well-known authors. This test isn't like anything else I've ever heard of!

Suz | 4432 comments Ah ha, thanks Patty. I had looked at The Marriage Test.

One of my favourite series, here is the latest Reacher.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Never likely to be my favourite narrator, but revisiting Richard Anderson's third novel, Boxed, read by Todd Boyce, is still very enjoyable. A quirky tale that is rural crime fiction at its best.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I would love to recommend American author, Peter Obourn's second novel, Holcomb's Potato Song, quirky title and all, especially to fans of Sean Dietrich' s The Incredible Winston Browne, but I can't seem to find it anywhere except NetGalley. I even had to add it to GoodReads so I could post a review. It's out 1st Feb 2022, maybe it will be available somewhere by then...
4.5★s for this funny, heart-warming, uplifting read.

Carolyn | 9840 comments I finally got around to reading the first book in Ann Cleeves new series
The Long Call (Two Rivers, #1) by Ann Cleeves The Long Call and enjoyed it very much. I don't love the main character, Matthew Venn, as much as Jimmy Perez or Vera Stanhope yet, but am hoping he will grow on me!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments After I was approved on NetGalley for the sixth book in the Stephens and Mephisto Mystery series by Elly Griffiths, The Midnight Hour, I thought I'd better hop to and read the earlier books (had only read #1 and #2). So now up to #4, The Vanishing Box, excelletn historical crime fiction, once again!
