ElCicco started Cannonball Read 13 with Whirligig by Paul Fleischman. It tells the story of a young man who makes a terrible mistake and works towards redemption through restorative justice. Oh! I need to reread Whirligig. I have forgotten it! I started my year finishing off a few books I started last year, found some comfortable picture books to get my "read on" but not commit to hours of reading. And in a few days I will be doing a buddy read. (And I ate a lot of chocolate and cookies!)
