Thankyou! 😊

Thankyou! 🙂

Maybe the term "interactive" is wrong. Many of the members in this group can edit in the picture of the square. They can e g add a red cross or insert a picture of the book they've read. It doesn't work for me and I think it would be more fun to use the bingo card than just a list of books.
But I don't know how to do this. I tried to do exactly that what is described in the beginning of this thread and it doesn't work. I would love someone to describe for me how I shall do. Thanks

Nike does this help?"
Sorry for not having replied until now. I am not well and I have been very ill for a few months now so I haven't had any energy to be active online.
No, I'm sorry to say - it doesn't help me. I had already saved my bingo card to my computer but I still don't understand how to cut in the pictures of the books I've read into the card. Can you please guide me slowly step by step?
Thankyou, Nike

Hi, I'm sorry that I havn't replied until now but I'm quite ill and have been to bed for a few months. I'm to exhausted to even be active online (no, it's not covid-19).
I had already saved the picture of the bingo card in my computer, that is not the problem. What I don't understand is HOW to insert the red cross or a photo of the book onto the card.
Please, would you like to guide me step by step in how to do that?
Thank you so much, Nike

Mayb..."
Hi Nike,
There are a couple different options you can do. Neither of which are exactly as easy as the click of a button but this is how people are updating their bingo cards as they read.
To insert the red X: To insert a red X over the prompt you have completed, you need to keep the website open from where you originally generated your card. If you close the webpage or refresh it, the layout of the card will change so it is important that you keep the tab open. Once you have your card, you simply click the square you have completed and it will add the red X. The people that have red X's in their post take a screenshot of card every time they finish a prompt, save it to their computer, and reupload the new image to a site. Once you have the new image uploaded, you can take the new link and replace the old image link in your post on here.
As for me, I prefer to add a picture of the book I read over the prompt. In a similar way to the last option, I just keep the image of my card open in Microsoft Paint. Microsoft Paint comes with my computer but if you have another image editing software that works too. Keep the image open, and when you finish a book you can update the card with the book cover. For me, I typically use Goodread's "add/book author" feature and post the book cover of the book I have finished. From there, I right click the image and select "copy image". Then, I go to my image editing program (Microsoft Paint) and paste the image and move it over the prompt. I then save the image, reupload the new image to imgbb, and edit my post to include the new image of my card.
I hope this helps.

Nike - I sent you a message.

Just found out about this! I've filled out the card with what I've read so far, and will update periodically. I'm going for blackout, of course. Happy reading!!

Edit: I've decided to go with the most liberal application of neighbouring country - any country that is also touched by the ocean.

I guess it's not necessary to share a border, maybe you could use New Zealand since is very near you... A couple of years ago I read Maori Boy and a few years ago I read Bone People, both were good books.

This was a great challenge last year, so I'm going for blackout again. I am starting late, but since it is an all year challenge, I will use books read earlier in the year to catch up.
UPDATE: Using books already read this year feels like cheating, so I will claim BONIG when I complete the remaining eight categories listed after starting the challenge. (I had planned to start this challenge early in the year, but chose not to in order to focus on my reading goal for the year. Surprisingly, I managed to complete most of the categories without consciously trying!)
