Hi everybody! I was around back in 2013, but obviously it’s been awhile (and I had to delete my account to start with a fresh bookshelf). I’m much older now and have a completely different career, but I still love reading challenges!

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: Where I am now. I spent the first half of my life traveling for work, and even though I thought I’d never want to settle down, I’m glad I have settled now in my favorite place

I gave away over 5000 books to move into my new place and then immediately replaced them with things I wanted better copies of. I bite off more reading challenges than I can chew, even though I know I can only read about 60 books tops in a year. And because nothing else makes me happier than starting a new book, going to the library, or finishing a book that has changed my world.

I don't even recall if I did this, but I'm doing it for the quest.

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: I really don't have a preference as long as I can have my books and read.
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... I have over 25,000 ebooks. When I cleaned out my storage building I gave away about 5,000 books and still have about 3,000 on my shelves. I still buy books and check out my max limit at the library. I'm slowly getting back to reading over 300 books a year. The last couple years my yearly goal dropped way down due to major RL changes but now that things are getting back to "normal", if that's such a thing, my reading goal is picking back up. I love reading challenges. I used to sign up for all of them but it takes a lot of time to update them so I'm a lot more selective now.

Welcome Cat! Not very active on here but I think anyone can join a tread for either (fiction and/or nonfiction) BOTM. No teams but it is a structured reading where sections of the book are discussed with question prompts.

A little about me - I am a thirty year old attorney living in Ohio, but was born and raised in NJ. (I used to run the account lawyerbookworm but was locked out, so now I'm starting fresh and building my TBR). Reading is a true escape and passion for me- it has been since I was a kid. I also enjoy going out to eat and trying different foods/wines so if anyone is local to the NE Ohio area, I would love to get an in person book club started.

I'm Hope (at least for the moment), because I'm reminding myself to keep hoping for the impossible.

I don't think I have a favorite book, but my favorite genre is probably Urban Fantasy. That said, I've been reading way outside that genre lately.
I also have a soft spot for middle grade horror.

I have no pets at this time. I'm hoping that that is a temporary situation (fingers crossed!), because I need little fur-baby hugs to keep me going.

I've been a little slow on my reading lately, so I'm hoping some fun and games can speed things up a bit!

I love me a good romance novel as well as thrillers and biography or autobiographys. I most recently have been trying to get into historical fiction, it's a bit harder for me since I'm not a huge history person.

I have to sweep for days to pile them all up and throw them in the trash. The curse words are the hardest to dispose of. They tend to hide in dark corners and only come out when my mother comes over.
