Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Hey everyone. I've recently started making video reviews on YouTube and thought it would be great to support Indie authors this way.

I'd love some feedback so I can make these videos the best they can be.

That's such a wonderful idea. I'm sure a lot of us self-pubs would appreciate having such an opportunity.

I like the way you introduced the book, and list different elements found in it, and that you play around with categorizing it. Sometimes categorizing is really tricky for self-pubs, so it helps us too to hear how others perceive the books.

I have been looking for people who do videos like this. Thank you for posting your link.

Thanks everyone. Someone mentioned the sound was a too quiet. If you found this at all, please let me know - I'm currently editing another and want to get it right.

Which one did they think was too quiet? I've watched five of them so far and did not notice any that were too quiet.

I got a mic for Christmas, so THE CHILD OF CHAOS (indie author book) has a different sound recording system. It should sound cleaner, but I might have the settings wrong. Someone told me it was really quiet.

Hi Ross. I'm sorry, it doesn't quite look like my kind of thing, but perhaps try finding some bloggers who post about similar books to yours and see if they'll make a review. Best of luck - I know it can be really tough to promote your book.

Honestly, I have no criticisms. I like the length and content. Your delivery is solid and the technical aspects all look good to me (though I am certainly no expert, not even a little). I enjoy your channel.
