Anybody else tackling Monte Cristo this year? I'm also hoping to get to Gemina and The Quincunx this year, and I think those are both long enough. And maybe I will actually succeed at a Tome Topple this year! (Here's the video announcement for a Tome Topple readathon last year, in case you're curious about what this is: https://youtu.be/6donApN5ErQ.)

Cheryl (6of8) | 247 comments I keep saying that I will read Anna Karenina one day. Maybe this year I'll do it.

Cheryl (6of8) | 247 comments My friend told me that she is the Russian Scarlett O'Hara -- it has not increased my desire to read the book. GWTW was a slog and War and Peace was worse, so a cross between them . . . .

I remember quite liking GWTW. But I was, like, 12. Tween Me and Teen Me had some really questionable tastes.

Cheryl (6of8) | 247 comments Although I did the audio version (23 discs), I am counting Christopher Paolini's Brisingr for this one, since the print version is 748 pages. And the audio version took nearly 2 months to read in my car.
