I think I know what you mean about the dates. I always put the Australian date that I read a book and don't consider changing it to the US date for challenges. It's all fine as long as what you have on your shelf matches up the completion posts and spreadsheet

If that's too farfetched (but I thought it was original ;) ) they are both thrillers. Also, the author's name is on the cover in white.

The book I just read, The Push, was really, really good. I mean I just didn't want to put it down at all but I had to because I had to do other things like cook and stuff. But it was amazing. Even for someone like me who doesn't have a blip of maternal instinct in my body, although motherhood is the main theme of the book, I could definitely relate to the main character and just. Read it, everyone!

Can I check before I choose my last books that a book that has been made into a movie or TV series qualifies for the mini? If so I'll pop over to Dad's and borrow a couple of Poirot's and Miss Marple's. They're short reads.
I also have Bonjour Tristesse on my list it's about 110 pages and was made into a movie starring I think, Jean Seberg in the 50's.

My current book has hands holding guns on the cover which should qualify. It's also another undercover spy book.
Interestingly, the author, Valerie Plame, was the CIA agent exposed back in 2015 when the US gov leaked her identity as payback against her husband for something or other.

I remember when that happened but didn't realise when I borrowed the book from the library. I love it when I pick up a book and make connections or learn interesting things.

For March I just added No Second Chance for the Blue 9 Tineye says it's 74.9% blue.

Also 1984 as a reverse read by Danah.

For our Feb mini I can definitely read 2 more and if we need it, a third by the end of Feb. They'll cover a couple of the regular cards if we need them too. What a great team to be on this year!

I added a few books for March. Hopefully I can read them. I was able to read a lot in Feb but I'm going to be busy in March, but will contribute as much as I can!

This is a bummer! In reality it looks yellow but here, and tineye agrees, it looks orange and brown.

It can be a March reverse though. Apoorv has read it.

I will definitely add 3 more books for the Feb hand - got a couple of E's coming up for our 8 cards. Two of the books will fit the mini challenge.. Might struggle to link the 3rd (The Betrayals - any ideas welcome..)

Picked up 6 books from the library yesterday & I'm really excited to read them all - will add them all to the spreadsheet now, three of them are I titles which will be good as it looks like we have quite a few of them again!

WE JUST COMPLETED THE MINI CHALLENGE!!

What a terrific bunch of amazing people you guys are!! :D What a stellar achievement. We starting that in the middle of the month, and within 10 days, we knocked it out! :D

WOW! Go us! I enjoyed this mini because the genre was one I read a lot anyway.

I'm not sure whether to keep reading Miss Marple because I think the only useful card is a Skip going by our spreadsheet and other people will probably have it covered. I've only read a few pages. Otherwise I can start on a longer slower book for March.

Oh yeah totally! Thank you for bringing this up, Elisabeth!
If you think you would not be able finish a book in the next 5 days, or maybe as you mentioned it won't be used as well for the remaining cards, absolutely feel free to start on something that can be used for March. Only caveat being you need to finish it after the clock strikes Mar 1 at 9AM GMT!

I would hate for a book to go waste with the challenge. Haha!

Having said that, we still have 5 books to finish, so hopefully the current reads of most of us can fit those slots and we would be ready to move into March.

Okay, thanks, Apoorv. If we're short of a skip by (your) Friday which I doubt, I can knock Miss M over in a day, it's only 176 pages.
