*Only books STARTED after the challenge begins can count. The challenge starts on Monday 1, 2021. To see when this is in your time zone, use this countdown
*Books must be more than 100 pages in length and Children's books, Graphic Novels, Manga, Cook Books, Plays and Poetry books can not be used unless by word count they can be verified as more than 25,000 words using arbookfind.com or more than 3 hours of audio using a reputable website (e.g. audible, overdrive). Children's books checked in previous years can be seen on this shelf uno-childrens.
*Your finished books need to be on your Uno shelf AND marked as "read" for them to count.
* Please make notes of how your book may count. The more options we have the better! (Letters used in UNO are Z,O,T,H,F,I,V,E,S,N,K,P and of course if another team member has read the book before. Please friend our team members!). The tracking spreadsheet can be used for this.

I'm Paula and welcome to another UNO Challenge, have you played before? Tell us about yourself.
Let me tell you about me, I'm 30 years old an I'm from Santiago de Chile (Southamerica) I work in mining and environmental consultancy.
I read mostly fantasy but I love historical fiction too.
This will be my 5th time participating in this challenge and since my first UNO I'm addicted to team challenges hahahaha.
I hope we have a great time!
Don't forget to post your UNO shelf please!

I'm Amanda, and this is is my first time playing UNO challenge. I'm a sucker for all team challenges and when my friend sent me the link for this one I knew it was for me!
I'm 28 and live with my husband and our spoiled dog in the metro Detroit area (EST). I am a lawyer, but my work is all either going over paperwork or reviewing videos (no court time) so I pretty much either have an audiobook playing or a book in my hand; I have a serious addiction to reading so my monthly reading amount is bananas. I mostly read MM romance, specifically ones that are fantasy or paranormal, (or other romance featuring LGBTQ main characters), but occasionally will read some YA as that's what I used to read and I kinda let some series fall and looking forward to picking them back up!
Looking forward to reading with everyone!
Uno 2020 Shelf

This is my first time playing UNO and I'm very excited.
Since last year I started a bookstagram so if you wanna follow me it is @latierradelaspalabras
I'm really excited for this challenge!

Amanda I don't know how you manage to concentrate in your work and listen to audiobooks at the same time hahaha, I only do that when I'm working on spreadsheets, because that's such a mechanical work hahahaha
Elizabeth, wow a PhD in archeology sounds interesting and demanding!

Hello Leslie!
I agree, I always read more than usual during this challenge

We are waiting for Gayatri and our team we'll be completed.
Please remember to check in weekly, so we know that you're still playing, it doesn't matter if you don't finish a book that week, just let us know you're here =)
Also, there's a planning spreadsheet for those who like to plan the books for the month, Amanda, Felipe and I already submitted some books we're planning to read during february.
If you have any doubts, let Amanda and I know ;)

So now I am thinking of reading "Zen: The art of simple living. It is a blue book". Let me know how it goes. Do I add to the spread sheet, or I need to read one of the books you have already added.

Remember that children's books must have over 25000 words.
And only books started after the challenge starts (February 1st) will count for the challenge.

We're getting near the start of the challenge, are you ready?
I wanted to set a completion format, if you're all ok with this, when you finish a book for the challenge please use the following template:

Amanda, did you read the blue edition? if so, can you please put that one on your shelf.
If not, don't worry, we can use it for another card

Sorry, I'm in another challenge where you can use any cover to meet cover requirements so I thought that was the case here as well. I listened to the audio unfortunately. I think the cover might still be blue enough, but unsure. Will you take a look?

Do you prefer to ask in the captain's group?"
Captains chat is 2/3 and the two of us agree so I think it’s good!
