Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Yeah, I know. I was looking at the stats just the other day.

Also, there's a scoring system over on the Jorum, and I wanted to be the first Dragon Rider. Which I succeeded in doing.

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Congratulations, girlfriend. Madame Dragon Rider Kendra. MDRK.

Goodreads should have titles. I could rock those.

message 503: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments I'm the Arista over on the Jorum.

message 504: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments I mean, like rankings.

message 505: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Oh. Read that wrong.

The Dragon Riding Arista?

message 506: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Yeah, somethin' like. I now have a beautiful purple dragon named Sunset. It took me 900 posts to get there.

message 507: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments *sits here in awestruck silence, pondering the meaning of life and whether she can invent a teleportation device to wind up somewhere with dragons*
Dude.

message 508: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments You can reach 900 posts on the Jorum...

message 509: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments I can, a person can, or that's the limit?

message 510: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments You can get a dragon by reaching 900 posts. I'm at ... 966.

message 511: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Good for you. :P

message 512: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Which means, if you add the two hundred I have over here, I'm Jaye's biggest-talking fan.

message 513: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Sounds like a great fanbase you got here, Jaye. Keep on talking, Kendra. I will join you among the Dragon Riders in the next ten years or so. By then I'll be in the target age.

When I tell people that I love books, they say, "Are there any good ones you recommend?"
And then I freak out and talk about Ilyon until their ears fall off and I know my mission is complete.
Usually I know I should fade out when their eyes start averting from my face and they intentionally stare at boring things.

And that is where all my talking is directed.

message 514: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments That's what I do too, Amanda! Except I add Makilien and Pirates and Faith to the list as well.

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Amanda wrote: "GUYS. THIS IS CRAZY.

I have the most comments out of everybody in the group. Even more than Jaye. And I joined 10 months after this group started. March of this year, I think...
Do I talk too much..."

NO YOU DO NOT TALK TO MUCH. But maybe that's why I've dreamed about meeting you more then anyone else in the group: because you're on here a lot... But you're comments are great and I love them!

message 516: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) I feel like the baby of the group with only 92 comments. :( And I agree with Stargazer Amanda, you don't talk too much! ;)

message 517: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments I only have like 10 comments... XD

message 518: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments I never noticed comment numbers before. And I just realized I was getting them mixed up with the number of comments on a thread. Oops. I can't find mine right now.

@Tammara: But you make your presence felt. :)

@A'laura: You're like the newest person here, so that's very much okay.

message 519: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) Well, you're new here, so that makes sense. :) I'm sure you'll be soaring past me soon. ;)

message 520: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) Ahh, we said the same thing. ;) And thanks Stargazer! :)

message 521: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Tamara I probably will since I have no life outside of Middle Earth and Ilyon XD

message 522: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments @A'laura: Middle Earth!! Favorite book? :D (Also, if Ilyon and Middle Earth are your life, you should try out the Goldstone Wood books by Anne Elisabeth Stengl.:) )

message 523: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Stargazer I love LOTR! I'm having a Hobbit/LOTR marathon right now. Extended editions! And Ooh!! I'll have to look those up!

message 524: by Stargazer (last edited Aug 29, 2015 10:23AM) (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments @A'laura: YES LOTR! Best! Have you read The Silmarillion? MARATHON? :O AWESOME!! Those are the funnest EVER! I had a LOTR a few months ago! (I like never watch the non Extended movies. XD)

message 525: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Stargazer I have both versions of ALL the movies!! I have not read the Silmarillion yet but my mom (hopefully) is getting it for my birthday along with the Outlander books and Doon books.

message 526: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Well, my family has all the versions too (except, Extended Hobbit 1. I need that so badly), but if I watch them it's ALWAYS the Extended. I don't even really remember what bits are Extended anymore, because of that. Cool! It's a little tiny bit hard to read, but it is so worth it. BECAUSE SAD AND BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC! :D

message 527: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Stargazer I have commentary marathons of the movies too because they're absolutely hilarious!! And I've heard it's hard to read but that's okay. It's by Tolkien so OF COURSE I'm reading it!

message 528: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments (You just sent me a friend request right when I was going and looking at your profile to do the same. XD The Lord of the Rings is an instant friend finder.)

message 529: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments Yes it is!! Haha!

message 530: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) I've never NOT watched the extended version of LOTR!! We do have the theatrical versions though, we just don't watch them. ;)

Ooo, I LOVE the LOTR comentarys! Though I haven't see the 2nd Hobbit commentary yet. I was so sad they didn't have a cast commentary. :( Yes, OF COURSE! :D Have you heard of his kid's book Roverrandom?

message 532: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments I sometimes watch the theatrical when I don't have a lot of time and I want to watch a movie.

message 533: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Stargazer No I have not. I guess that's another book to read soon!

message 534: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Tamara wrote: "I've never NOT watched the extended version of LOTR!! We do have the theatrical versions though, we just don't watch them. ;)"

Heehee! Yeah... I feel like I've never watched them. I'm always saying to my sister "I LOVE that part so much" and she's like "That wasn't in the origanal" and I'm like "What? No way!" XD

message 535: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) Yeah, my dad does that. We get really upset they don't have certain parts in the theatrical even though we haven't seen it. ;)

I know! It's horrible!

A'laura wrote: "@Stargazer No I have not. I guess that's another book to read soon!"

Yes! It's really fun! It's about a dog. :D https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...

message 537: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 342 comments I just watched FOTR EE for the second time last night showing it to a friend who hadn't seen any version at all. I've seen theatrical nearly a dozen times. I really want to watch the commentaries. And ALL the bonus features. So much material, so little time. It's like I need to get sick or something so I can watch all that TV.

I know, so much stuff! Some of it's really cool. That made me laugh. Yeah, getting sicks one good point: YOU CAN WATCH ALL THE LORD OF THE RINGS STUFF. XD

message 539: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments Speaking of LOTR, there's a song called "Lord of the Rings in 99 seconds" by PAINT on YouTube and it's hilarious!

Cool! I'll have to look that up! There's a "Lord of the Rings in 60 seconds" on YouTube, that hilariously describes the entire thing.

message 541: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (wordfitlyspoken) | 158 comments Well, this is interesting. I think I'm *more* chatty in real life than this. xD

And I kind of keep forgetting about the Jorum...whoops.

message 542: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments You guys are awesome! I love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I've read The Hobbit twice and I've been in The Two Towers for almost 2 years!!! I'm taking forever to get through it.... :-(

message 543: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments I haven't seen The Lord of the Rings in Extended Edition but I really want to buy it and see it. The first and second Hobbit movies I have in Extended Edition (but I've only seen the first Hobbit movie in EE) and I want to get the third as soon as it comes out. Those are like my top favorite movies (you know...we could have this discussion in the "movies" discussion). :-D

message 544: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments @Gabriela Haha we could've but it just kinda ended up here XD

message 545: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) A chat topic does kinda mean random, so, I think we're completely justified in talking about it here! ;)

message 546: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 342 comments We're justified. ;)

Gabriella, if you ever see LOTR EE for sale, don't hesitate, buy it, especially of it's a good deal. It's REALLY hard to get nowadays. They do at least sometimes have the blurays on Amazon, but it's like $60.

message 547: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Guys, don't kill me...but I've only seen the theatrical version of FOTR and Hobbit 1...and I'm only on the second chapter of the Hobbit. MUST. READ. MORE. MUST. WATCH. MORE.

@Stargazer: you've dreamt of meeting me! Aww, that's so sweet! I don't know if I've dreamt of any of you. Maybe. I've sure thought about it a lot.

message 548: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 342 comments I won't kill you. ;). EE isn't easy to get ahold of. We borrowed it first, and I bought it (with much difficulty) on Prime day. You really do need to finish the books...but I can't really say anything because it took me about a year and my mom making me read...at least until I got to The Two Towers.

message 549: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Okay, good. I started reading TH with my brother, but it's slightly over his head (though he was still enjoying it). It takes longer to read out loud.

message 550: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments Tolkien goes into so much detail that it gets kind of confusing but it's a really fun read when you get into them!
