If everyone else wants to go ahead and do a random pairing, I can use a generator and do that (or, if for whatever reason I can't figure it out, I'll just draw out of hats...). :)

What I'm going to do is make the list of characters, generate them by team, and then draw GR girls' names from a hat to assign them as "team leaders". :)

So, I'll wait until noon/one tomorrow (PDT)--just in case there are others who aren't able to respond today--take a count, then make the thread and list the teams. :D

I'm not exactly sure that I can explain. I'm not entirely sure I know what exactly we're talking about...

Amanda, I think what we are talking about is some of us who want to can collaborate with others an do an Ilyon fanfic. Each of us will get a character chosen randomly and will write about how he/she popped into our world and how we must get he/she to Jaye if he/she wants to return to Ilyon. The characters only pop up near fangirls.

@Firefly: By team, I mean pairing the characters with a fan girl. Example: you, Daniel, and Talas would be a "team". Kendra and Davira would also be a "team".
The other "teams" will be chosen by random pairing.
Perhaps "group" would've been a better word...

Yeah, speaking of rules, and since I'm the only "team" with just one of the Ilyon characters, and I'm an author myself, would it be all right if I brought one of my own characters for the ride? Because I have one who hangs out with me ALL the time and is currently grumpy because I haven't worked on her story in far too long. (In her opinion.) It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you say no, but I kinda think it would be interesting to see her and Davira interact.

I second the motion to appoint Merenwen as leader. I think it would be helpful if the rules could be posted on the top of the fan fiction thread.
I mean it's not like the rules have to be long and complicated.

I was going to do an omniscient-third POV myself, but I think it's fine if we do different POVs.

Four paragraphs (four sentences each paragraph, speaker breaks count as one line) would be a good maximum, methinks. And a minimum of two sentences. I'll go ahead and post this on the thread. :)
If there are more questions, I think maybe we should start a thread for discussing the fanfic; we're taking up a lot of Fireside Chat... :)

Okay, sounds good. Since I'm group one, I'll go post my first bit. I'm going to go with first person my POV, present tense, though, because that's how I deal with my characters.

Yay! I was kind of hoping for someone like Rayad. :) and Kyrin!!! :)

Just for time's sake, since I'm really busy these days (and because I know others rank him higher on a list of favorite characters than I might), do any of you who only have two characters want to take over Trask? I think it would be a little difficult for me to do him, especially on top of Kyrin and Rayad too. :) just checking - if we don't want to mess with the pairings, that's fine too. :)

And my first bit is up. I think I went a bit over the word limit, but I had a bear of a time getting Maryanne to shut up and go find Davira for me, and I wanted to introduce Davira before I closed it out. I promise that my bits will be shorter from now on *sends pointed glare in Maryanne's direction*

If no one else claims him, I'll do Trask, though I'd recommend him to someone who has a human and an animal character. Like C.B. or Amanda.
