Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments No, I was looking for Adams. I just ... overlooked the first name on the list.

Historically, the last place we look for something is where we find it soooo... XD Stands to reason. *nods*

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments *than. (ThEn tells whEn, thAn is for comparisAn.)

I have had coworkers tell me that. Some downright hated me for the ceiling quip.

message 1755: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Your "ceiling quip" made me laugh, Kendra, as it is exactly something my brothers would do. ;)

message 1756: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments wow?! I would just laugh, nothing to hate someone for

message 1757: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments I had some grumpy coworkers.

Brie Donning (briedonning) | 199 comments The ceiling quip is something some of my brothers would say. Or maybe even me.

message 1759: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Buehrer Guys, I'm doing my first Goodreads giveaway right now. I'm excited about how it's going, even though I'm a little freaked out about total strangers getting my books. Tell me not to be scared of one and two star reviews!
Sorry. I don't know how to think positive about book promotion.

message 1760: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Okaaaaaaaay . . . free books . . . where do I sign up!?!?! No seriously, can I have a link? :)

And don't be afraid of negative reviews! It's all part of the process. Unfortunately, not everyone is going to LOVE your book. (which really kinda sticks.) :P But if you read through reviews of other books, for everyone one negative review, there is four 5 star reviews. :)

message 1761: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) @A.L. never mind about the link, I found it. :)

message 1762: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Don't be scared of the two-star reviews. Be better than the two-star reviews.

There are one- and two-star reviews on Tolkien and C. S. Lewis' books, and I'm sure you can't be better than them, so just take it in stride. Readers are picky things and you can't please all of them.

message 1763: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Buehrer Sarah Grace, may the odds be ever in your favor. I just thought it might look kind of sad if my only reviews were really low. I haven't got any yet, so if I get anything from this giveaway, they'll be the only ones for a while, at least.

message 1764: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Are your books indie published?

message 1765: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments Very cool! yeah don't be afraid of the two star (or no star) review! I'm sure you did a good job on your book

message 1766: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Last night my mom, nana (grandma) and sisters and I were on a mission: to shop till we dropped, or until we found shoes for my cousin's wedding this weekend. Whichever came first. Thankfully, the later did, although the former wasn't far behind. ;)

message 1767: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments Cool! are wedding shoes that hard to find?

message 1768: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Not necessarily, and my sisters and I aren't even IN the wedding, but we had very specific specifications. :P

message 1769: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments ohhh okay. So I guess it was something the black or white didn't match with?

message 1770: by Brie (new)

Brie Donning (briedonning) | 199 comments A friend of mine got married recently and had trouble finding shoes. The trouble was height. She's almost as tall as her husband, and the groomsmen were short too, so she had to wear flat shoes.

message 1771: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) @Marrok: No, black wouldn't go, and white would be too summery. :\

@Brie, Ah, yeah, I see the problem there. ;)

message 1772: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments @Sarah Grace ohh that must have been kind of a annoying

@Brie wow now that is kind of funny!

Karis | 132 comments How exciting!

message 1775: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments I didn't mess up my audition too bad!!! I just messed up a line XD

The line was supposed to say "We need his help. You don't know my mother. She could really screw it up."

But I said, right on the spot, "You don't know my mother. We need his help! My mom can screw everything up!"

I did it right!! I kept going! But I was internally screaming. XD

message 1776: by Marrok (new)

Marrok Macintyre (marrokmacintyre) | 12 comments Well congrats on fishing it strong !

message 1777: by A'laura (new)

A'laura Pyeatt | 163 comments Thank you!! Now I sit through auditions tomorrow (I'll help whoever doesn't have an audition partner), anxiously wait though call backs (not good or bad if you get one), see Sound of Music (TRAVELING BROADWAY!!!!!!!) and then cast list Friday!!! This is by far the most stressful week of my life! XD

message 1778: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Eeeek! How exciting!!!! And good for your finishing strong! As a fellow performer, when you mess up, I know it's hard to not get rattled and just keep going. Good job! :)

A.L. Buehrer Hey guys, happy New Year. Remember to pray for all the people defending the unborn today. For those that are in DC and the other big cities, and little university towns like mine.

My family actually initiated and organized a rally on our town square. That's kind of crazy, because we don't usually do things like that. But somebody had to.

We have to keep speaking for the voiceless!

A.L. Buehrer Thanks for the support! It went well, despite the the wind and bitter cold. A lot of people seemed really glad to see us out on there.

message 1789: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Why a blue cake?? :)

message 1790: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Blue is Jaye's favorite color, so I thought it was fitting.

Things have been too quiet over here. Thought I'd post something.

message 1791: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments *waves hand over blue cake to make it gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, allergen free, packed with nutrients, easy on teeth and digestion, and still amazingly delicious*

*starts eating a piece of blue cake*

message 1792: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments *It was already a magic cake that would automatically change to fit a person's dietary restraints AND be their favorite flavor when they took a piece.*

deborah o'carroll (deborahocarroll) | 74 comments MAGIC CAKE. *noms*

message 1794: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Also, are we ever going to get the characters back to Jaye? Because I really don't want them all to disappear....

message 1795: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments YUM! Blue cake! Nice!

message 1796: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments Kendra: good. But I had to make sure. :)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments If groups 6 and 7 aren't participating now, it would be Sarah's turn...

message 1798: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Also, I drew this for laughs a couple months ago, and haven't gotten around to posting it:

message 1799: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments But what are we going to do with the characters of groups 6&7?

message 1800: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments So Dacian, Kaden, Leetra, and Tyra are currently stuck at Amanda's house eating pizza. Nothing for it but to have one of us collect them on our way to Jaye's. If something came up and Amanda and Gabriela can't personally escort them, we must do our best to ensure they are returned safely to Ilyon within the month.

Whose route will take them closest to Amanda's house?

Or we could arrange for their characters to fly to the nearest airport...
