Living without a bank account or phone or address, Addie is forced to pilfering and theft. Is it a blessing or a curse that she only has to worry about momentary suffering (hunger, clothing, housing) and not survival (she can't die)?
What new appreciation do you have for the ordinary things you count on to make it through difficult times?
